Seems pretty obvious what Osama is up to. Of course, unlike Hiroshima, the victim has the capacity to dish out more than it takes. If Osama blows up DC, for example, then the entire Muslim world could be wiped off the map in 5 minutes.

Why wouldn?t the Bush administration secure our borders? What are the advantages of leaving them unsecured?...

It would also spell disaster for President Bush and the GOP if it should occur.
If and when it happens, the borders will be sealed and the gnashing of teeth will start about "when did you know it and why wasn't anything done to protect us..."?
And of course, that would be an excellent question.
Poltical correctness will defeat the USA.

I don't know. If literally LA or NY was gone in a flash with millions dead there would be no limit to our rage. Any politician that proposed anything less than total annihilation would be run out on a rail.
Think hard Osama. Taking out Afghanistan and Iraq was playing nice. When you hear the call for Americans to immediately return home start digging deep...

Simply because it is a waste of resources. It is impossible to effectively seal our borders. There are thousands of miles of rugged unsecured border with Canada and thousands of miles of coast line not to mention thousands of shipping containers entering our country everyday. Anyone seriously wanting to get in can. We can't win the war here. We have to win it there.

If LA or NY goes up in a ball of fire I don't think a "disaster" for Bush or the GOP is really all that important. Bush will do what he has to do then. The world will be on fire.

Anyone seriously wanting to get in can. We can't win the war here. We have to win it there. And we have to continue to fight it there, or it will come here. This is the truth of Iraq that the American people do not understand. As long as there is a galvanization point overseas, the al Qaeda efforts will be concentrated there. Hence for the foreseeable future, in fact decades to come, we will have a very proactive military presence in the middle east... regardless of who is the party in power.

No disaster for the GOP. You just eliminated the main Democratic bases in the big two Democratic states as well as much of their fundraising base and thier media whores. No loss to the GOP there. Also, the final taps to political correctness. Of course, it would not be worth it for us.

It is impossible to effectively seal our borders. Only if 'effectively' by your definitions is 100%. We've effectively built hundreds of thousands of miles of concrete interstate highway and created an electric power grid for this nation; we can build a tough double wall with an electrified inner fence section plus electronically monitor activity.
Will it be 100%, no, but it will sure as hell slow down the criminal activity element.
As one previous post and the article referred to, this is all about CRF, Trilateral Commission, global economy, global government, 'supporting the cause', and most important, Revelations. Don't kid yourself, it's coming.

While looking for something completely unrelated over the weekend I found a story about some people near Atlanta. According to this story a couple people in that general area have had this dream that they were in some underground shopping center in Atlanta. I don't know if there is one there, I have never been there. According to this story there is a nuclear explosion in Atlanta that wipes out CNN etc. I don't put stories about dreams on my favorites so I don't have a link, sorry. It also said that all of those people who had that dream actually moved immediately. It just struck me as interesting but I don't put much stock into it.
