Today I encountered PETA protesting at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Cheyenne, Wyoming. I just could not let this stand unopposed so an emergency FReep was let loose on the PETA morons, much to the delight of the business owner and local ranchers........

I told him that they there are right up there with commie eco-terrorists in my book (while gnawing on a drumstick). Then I would yell out to the passing cars "Finger Lickin Good!" and wave my drumstick in the air.

LOLOLOL!!

I asked the PETA guy if they paid well, and he said no. I guess the fringe benefits are substantial. A trip out west, work one hour a day, and road trips with college chicks.

LOL

We can take a vote .... chicken, pork or beef?

PETA protests them all.

I saw this on the PETA web site. Looks like they are telling people to lie (use your creative talents) and then use violence (how else would they take it over) for a publicity stunt.

Take Over the Wienermobile!

Oscar Mayer, one of the largest sellers of pig flesh in the world, is holding a contest that we want you to enter! Has PETA formed an unholy alliance with a major purveyor of dead, tortured animals? Not at all. Oscar Mayer is letting 20 people use the Wienermobile (a giant hot dog-shaped bus) for one day. We want you to win this contest and then work with us to put the Wienermobile to good use, PETA-style! With a bus this big, there's no shortage of colorful ways that we can use the Wienermobile to tell everyone how bad eating meat is for people and animals.

The contest asks for a 100-word essay on what you would do with the Wienermobile if you win. Please use your creative talents to come up with an idea that would appeal to Oscar Mayer’s judges (so you probably shouldn’t mention animal rights or vegetarianism).

When you win, please contact PETA immediately at VegInfo@peta.org or 757-962-8384. The contest ends on July 28, so please enter as soon as possible.

While I share some of PETA's concerns about cruelty to livestock, they are too off the wall to garner my support. Humane treatment of animals does not equal animal rights.

I feel like I'm caught between a rock and a hard place. While I see the need for watchdog groups, I also see the kind of people who run them. There has to be a more moderate organization somewhere in this galaxy.

From their website, it looks like they have gone from Wash state to Montana to Wyoming to Colorado and now to Utah. Your guess is as good as mine seeing as they appear to be moving in a circle.
