Millennial Mistake Jamie Gorelick’s dangerous “wall of separation.”
National Review Online ^ | April 15, 2004 | Mark Levin

Posted on 08/11/2005 3:20:03 AM PDT by YaYa123

In his public testimony before the 9/11 Commission the other day, Attorney General John Ashcroft exposed Commissioner Jamie Gorelick's role in undermining the nation's security capabilities by issuing a directive insisting that the FBI and federal prosecutors ignore information gathered through intelligence investigations. But Ashcroft pointed to another document that also has potentially explosive revelations about the Clinton administration's security failures. Ashcroft stated, in part:

... [T]he Commission should study carefully the National Security Council plan to disrupt the al Qaeda network in the U.S. that our government failed to implement fully seventeen months before September 11.

Do you think the 9-ll Commission, or the MSM, will ever castigate Reno's Justice Dept, Jamie Gorelick specifically, for creating "the wall"? (Castigate? Hellsbells, I'd appreciate a wrist slap at this point.) Will we ever know why "the wall" was created? Am I stupid for thinking Sandy Berger's heist at the National Archives is connected to all this?

Don't expect the spineless, gutless, ball-less Republican "leadership" to investigate any of this.

If Blitzer even mentions "Able Danger" to Bill Clinton, it won't be a surprise to Clinton, and he will have a BS non-response response at the ready. But believe me, this interview is nothing more than a double dipping PR stunt.

Oh, I agree completely. That's why I mentioned it. So we can all be watching Wolfie while he does it.

BINGO! The question is -Will there be a full blowm investigation? Americans have a right to know what happened. We need to know the truth.

((Here's another column from 2004, Byron York's brilliance, but it sure got ignored by the msm. ))

http://www.nationalreview.com/york/york200404231117.asp

When Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle (D., S.D.) and then-House Minority Leader Dick Gephardt (D., Mo.) selected Gorelick for the committee in December 2002, Gephardt said, of her and the other Democrats chosen for the job, "I can think of no individuals better suited to work on this project than the people we have announced today."...

Republicans criticizing Gorelick's selection for the commission have focused on what is now called the Wall — that is, the traditional barrier separating law enforcement and intelligence agencies.

It was the Wall that made it so difficult — nearly impossible, actually — for the agencies to share information about the Sept. 11 hijackers, which might have allowed the government to break up the plot."

Will we ever know why "the wall" was created?

I am just guessing but I suspect one reason may have been to obstruct FBI,CIA evidence about Clintons campaign contribution for missile technology deals with the Chi-coms.

Just like Michael Moore and others wanted to know the truth about 9-11? Funny, now that they when the problems started and the information that was had before...we hear crickets.

But that's the I love America crowd.

I think I will check out DU, Slate, Memeorandum and Google to see how many stories or columns came up on Al Qaeda or Gorelick.

Connecting the dots from Gorelicks law firm to Craig Livingston ( Hillary did not hire him) to the Hill and Bill whitehouse. Livingston was defended by Gorelicks firm.
Livingston managed to walk off into the sunset with information on many backroom efforts to cover up things.
Where are you Criag? Why haven't you written a book?

WHat happened with Berger's theft of documents anyway? Is he to be prosecuted?

He got a sweetheart plea bargain deal. $10,000 fine, a three year suspension of his security clearance (which means he would get it back in the heat of the 2008 campaign) and no jail time. Not even a slap on the wrist.

The official sentencing hasn't occured yet, so there might be a tiny chance the judge rejects the deal.

I was watching live when Ashcroft got in her face.

She had the deer in the headlights look on her face.
