Since the left keeps complaing about President Bush's working vacation, does anyone know what Billy Jeff did during the month of August in the eight years while he was occupying the Peple's House and Congress and the Senate were on vacation.
Just a note, I am not talking about his occupation with Monica

He was off to whatever destination the recent "focus group" told him to go to...usually "staying" with friends, donors, sycophant's....wherever was free and easy....{not a reference to Monica}

Bill, Hill & dau. spent 1 week here in San Diego
on Coronado. Mansion facing the ocean owned by
M. Larry Laurence, then owner of the Hotel del Coronado.
He & his wife gave large money to his campaign, in turn Laurence became Ambassador to
Switzerland and the one who said he was in WWII and
when he died a few yrs later was buried at Arlington.
It was exposed he wasn't in WWII so he was dug up and
replanted elswhere.
Anyways I remember the Clintoons bike riding, WildAnimal Park, and on and on with all the things you do on vacation
in a very wealthy area.
Not the work schedule Pres. Bush has been keeping up with.

One year, Clinton went to Jackson Hole, Wyoming because Dick Morris' focus group told him that he would get good PR from that. He also spent some vacation time in the Hamptons or out there on the island where Ted Kennedy stays, Nantucket??
I believe there was more than one summer where the Klintons spent August in Martha's Vineyard, sponging off the glitterati.

This time it was an Air Force C-130 transport plane that went down near Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where President Clinton had been vacationing. Clinton had left by helicopter to return to the White House just hours before the crash. Besides 8 crew members, the plane was carrying a communications van, many pieces of luggage, and secret service agent Aldo Franscoia. It was on it's way to JFK international airport in New York, where Clinton was going the next morning to celebrate his 50th birthday. Only minutes after taking off, the plane flew into a mountain about nine miles east of Jackson Hole. Aldo Franscoia and all 8 crew members were killed. An Air Force investigation into the crash concluded with the statement that "crew error" was the official cause. There findings could only be a guess: "The crew failed to monitor the aircraft's position and flight path relative to high terrain ... Radar information...was not correctly interpreted." The morning after the accident, at a brief press conference at the White House before Clinton left for New York, he said that he and Hillary were "very sad and shocked" about the crash "because they worked for (him)." He also said during that brief conference that he "was told that they thought the pilot had turned around to come back to the airport." It is not known who told Clinton this, but nobody has ever been found that has thought the plane had turned around. It had not. According to the Air Force investigation, the crew never knew anything was wrong….."
