Mother has own message
By Susan Nolan news@seacoastonline.com
PORTSMOUTH - Natalie Healy of Exeter, whose son was killed in Afghanistan on June 28, has something to say to Cindy Sheehan: Speak for yourself.
Healy will be holding a rally in Market Square today from noon to 2 p.m. in support of the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, in support of President Bush and in support of the mission of her son, Senior Chief Petty Officer Daniel Healy, a Navy SEAL. ~~~~~~~~~~~
"Im also asking different people to have a rally on Wednesday night in their own cities and towns," she said.
"Well be having one in Exeter, more than likely, to show our solidarity with the troops, and to show the enemy that not all Americans feel the way Cindy Sheehan and her group feel."
Healy said Sheehan has already met with the president once, while she herself has not.
"If Im supposed to meet with him as one of the mothers, then she can have my spot, but she has to treat him with respect and dignity," said Healy.
"If (the president) was her ex-husband, theyd consider this stalking," said Healy of Sheehans protest at Bushs Texas ranch. "Thats harassment in other places."
Healy said she learned Wednesday that her son and his comrades did not die quickly. "We got information on the Internet about what actually happened the day Dan was shot down. I had originally assumed that it was instant, and it wasnt. They had a long time to ponder what was going to happen," she said. "They flew for a mile after they were shot. The pilot held them up." They were in a mountainous area, however, and the pilot had to land on a ledge. It gave way, and those aboard plummeted to their death.
Healy said she is "aware that Im in shock" but is thankful for that. "Im glad its like that. I dont want to have to feel it all at once."
Healy - who has taken to the airwaves to counteract Sheehans message of opposition to the president - said shes glad to have a chance to fight back.
"By being on this mission, it makes me feel close to Dan, and at the same time, it keeps my mind occupied."
Sorry to say, she doesn't count, Afghanstan was a justified war, Iraq is for Oil, Haliburton, and Care Bears.
Her son was one of, what?, 19 SEALs to die that day? A really, really tough day in SEAL history. God bless all of them, and their families. And especially this woman, she has good reason to be outraged.
This womyn is pathetic.
Prayers for her son, Mrs. Healy and her loved ones
Let's make sure you understand who I'm talking about.
Natalie Healy has reason to be outraged. Cindy Sheehan is that reaston.
My error, the woman in the article is not the outrage of my post (cindy). Sorry. It is confusing. The women who lost her son in Afghanstan has only my best wishes and support.
My nephew is in Afghanistan flying Apache Longbows. I pray for him, but I know I don't worry anywhere near what his parents do!
It's been a teary day today, marked with the latest reports of services for USMC 3/25.
This was welcome relief. Thank you so much for sharing!! She is absolutely beautiful in those cammies....that dress at the wedding doesn't do her justice : ) Squeeze her hard for me?!

The lady is not all there. It's sad. Initially we sent very few troops into Afghanistan. She says "why do we send in invading armies to march into Afghanistan when were looking for a select group of people in that country? So I believe that our troops should be brought home out of both places."

MATTHEWS: Can I ask you a tough question? A very tough question.
SHEEHAN: Yes.
MATTHEWS: All right. If your son had been killed in Afghanistan, would you have a different feeling?
SHEEHAN: I dont think so, Chris, because I believe that Afghanistan is almost the same thing. Were fighting terrorism. Or terrorists, were saying. But theyre not contained in a country. This is an ideology and not an enemy. And we know that Iraq, Iraq had no terrorism. They were no threat to the United States of America.
MATTHEWS: But Afghanistan was harboring, the Taliban was harboring al Qaeda which is the group that attacked us on 9/11.
SHEEHAN: Well then we should have gone after al Qaeda and maybe not after the country of Afghanistan.
MATTHEWS: But thats where they were being harbored. Thats where they were headquartered. Shouldnt we go after their headquarters? Doesnt that make sense?
SHEEHAN: Well, but there were a lot of innocent people killed in that invasion, too. And I believe that you dont send inand Im not a strategist. Im not a military strategist. But Im seeing that were sending our ground troop in to invade countries where the entire country wasnt the problem. Especially Iraq. Iraq was no problem. And why do we send in invading armies to march into Afghanistan when were looking for a select group of people in that country?
So I believe that our troops should be brought home out of both places where were obviously not having any success in Afghanistan. Osama bin Laden is still on the loose and thats who they told us was responsible for 9/11.
She's been squeezed real hard!
It's been real hard for me to follow this bitch with all that's been going on in our situation. And the soldiers I know disagree with her 150%.
Using Cindy's logic we could never go in to any of the countries that Al Qaeda takes refuge in. We would all just have to sit and wait till they built enough nuclear bombs to blow the US off the face of the earth. Good strategy, Cindy.
