Just talked to Basil on site in Crawford, Texas. Currently there are about 100 folks there helping to set up. They have not received word about the caravan arrival in Waco yet. JimRob is riding with the caravan. She thinks it might get to Crawford around 1:00 p.m.
Basil says the stage is set up, the sound system is excellent and they have hung the most beautiful banners overnighted by W04Man on the stage. A big thanks for the banners, they are much appreciated!
Someone arrived early and hung yellow ribbons everywhere.
They have an American flag that is about 50 feet by 40 feet. Children of military personnel serving in the Middle East have written notes to their parents on the stripes of this flag. A very touching thing to behold.
The HOT Chapter booth is being unloaded right now. The will sell buttons made by Angelwood to help off set costs.
Someone rented the Community Center for our use so there is access to AC. However, they also have 10 tents set up. And there is a Moonwalk for the kiddos.
To top everything else there is BBQ on the grill! Basil is the official taster and says it is great!
That is all the news I have at the moment. It is hard to get a cell phone connection to Crawford but when I hear more I will try to update everyone.
Radio news on the hour mentioned 100 degrees, flaring tempers and police squad cars all up and down the road. Got to wonder if these are the same journalists who do the hurricanes--cub reporters who are happy to be working at all even if it is on the weekend.

The problem is that FOX's daytime coverage is dominated by liberals during the weekends and they're afraid they'd melt if they went to Crawford.

Look at all the incredible reporting Freepers have done over the years --- especially that Air France plane being escorted by jet fighters over Canada and into LAX. That was incredible --- so many pilots came to reply, active duty, retired, military non-military --- it was a cliff-hanger.
Not to speak of Buckhead and the Bush guard memos. Take a look at the incredible response Rush has gotten just over the Club Gitmo gear ---

The entire MSM have no respect for our Military. These are the men and women protecting our rights and more importantly, if they don't realize it the rights of the MSM to sprew what ever they want in the USA.
I wish Rush Limbaugh would start a TV station that tells it lke it is. I use to be a big FOX fan. But I'm tired of Greta, Hannity and the three stooges on their Morning Show who only seem to be interested in National Enquirer stories.
