That is an understatement for many, at least for me. My blood pressure is up 30, literally. Thank you so much for what the media, all the media should be giving us. I have started watching the weather channel, I get weather along with the disaster reports, reports that are reasonable and well balanced. i.e. giving the real problem areas and also the good things happening.

But helpless school children are forced to ride these same toiletless buses five days a week! I guess communal urination and defecation on the floor for days by tens of thousands in the Superdome was preferable to having to ask the driver for a potty stop from time to time.

I heard a guy on with Jackie Mason today, who had gotten out of NO. He grew up there and is a native.....he said that on election day, Mary Landrieu has tons of buses at the projects, picking up people to get them to the poles...even gives them a hot dog and soda!! Where was she now with her buses???????

Thanks. Was the Superdome considered a Shelter or a Last Ditch Refuge - using their terminology? According to tis a shelter is required to have water and supplies while a last-ditch refuge would only have supplies to last through the storm. Then after storm people would be moved from last-ditch refuge to shelter. If a Cat 5 hits and the streets are all flooded, how would these people be moved? There's just not any meat in this document. It's not much of a plan.
