Friends, your help is needed!
This weekend several groups are organizing a large rally in support of our troops fighting to protect our freedoms around the world.
We need you to reach out to your friends, family, and supporters and ask them to attend the rally on Sunday September 25th from Noon to 3pm on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. We want to show our troops that America stands behind them and their mission.
Whether you have a family member or friend serving in the military or don't personally know anyone serving, there is nothing more important than showing our troops how much we support what they are doing for Americans and citizens of other nations.
If you have any questions, please visit the website www.supportthetroopsweekend.org or contact Karen by email: OperationIraqiHope@gmail.com. She can assist you with any logistical support or answer any questions you may have.
Please do all that you can to support this rally and our troops. Thank you in advance.
Sunday, September 25 12 p.m. - 3 p.m.

Support Our Troops and Their Mission Weekend
Friday, September 23, 2005, 5:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 24, 2005, 10:00 a.m.
If we dont speak up for our Troops Who will?
Who will give our Troops a voice here at home?
In solidarity with Move America Forwards You dont speak for me, Cindy! cross-country caravan arriving in Washington, D.C. on Friday, September 23, 2005, to rally at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, OSOT will have a Support Our Troops and Their Mission Weekend at Fort Lewis starting at 5:00 p.m. Click here to see all Move America Forward has planned for this weekend in Washington, D.C.
Cindy Sheehan and her gaggle of anti-war, anti-military group have done nothing but use her son Caseys death to further their political agenda. Shame on you, Cindy! Your son, Casey, is our Hero! He does not deserve this from his own mother! Casey died while serving a country he loved loved so much that he re-enlisted specifically to go to Iraq and defend his country! Casey died while saving his brother soldiers from a certain death. This country needs to honor young men like Casey not use him to politicize our Troops!
An anti-war group, Code Pink, has been holding anti-war demonstrations at the main gate to Walter Reed Army Medical Center on Friday evenings. Code Pink has been lining the sidewalks in front of Walter Reed with flag-draped coffins and signs of protest for our wounded soldiers and their families to see. Their only intent is to demoralize our Troops and further hurt our wounded soldiers and their families. Havent they suffered enough?
United for Peace & Justice is calling for an End the War in Iraq rally across the nation this weekend also. This anti-war, anti-military group has local activities planned here in the Sate of Washington.
Here in Washington state, on Friday, Sept 23, 2005,
The Olympia Movement for Justice and Peace will be marching
from Olympia to Ft. Lewis
for an anti-war demonstration at the very gates of Fort Lewis!
This group is intent on encouraging the terrorists, lowering Troop morale and endangering our men and women in uniform and now they're coming to Fort Lewis! Click here to see what their plans are for the weekend to see their support for our Troops.
This simply cannot stand without a challenge!
Lets show them the State of Washington stands with her Troops!
Come join us in support of our Troops
and their mission!
OSOT was started in January 2003 just for this purpose to show our Troops that America stands with them we support each and every one of them and their mission the Global War on Terrorism. They believe in their mission lets show them we do too! We have kept the antis away from Fort Lewis for over two and a half years! We have sent our deploying Troops off with the image of the American flag and people supporting and praying for them. We do not dispute the antis freedom of speech but we do take exception when they do it at our military bases! They say they support our Troops but how can they, when they only wish to demoralize them on their very own doorstep.
The 1/25 INF and 1/24 INF (Stryker Brigade Combat Team) from Fort Lewis
are returning from a year spent in Mosul, Iraq. They are arriving this week.
Do we want them to see the antis on their doorstep or us?
We sent them off and we must be there when they come home!
We cannot sit by while anti-war, anti-military groups turn this war into another Vietnam! We must help win the war here at home or we will have sent our sons and daughters into harms way for nothing their mission will have failed. All of their sacrifices will have been in vain! And they will return home only to be spat upon! We cannot let this happen.
We can help our Troops win this war
with our simple words and actions here at home!
Do not give encouragement to the terrorists by remaining silent!
Show them we stand united with our Troops!

Thanks for keeping us focused, Tonkin! God bless you!
The more I think about this, I think what we're ACTUALLY asking people to do is support the President's decision to go to war in Iraq, as opposed to the Moonbats bashing the President on going to war. We're trying to show the troops that we are behind their commander-in-chief....thoughts?
Yes please!!
Thanks Tonk!
BTTT!!!!!
Bumping for Supporting the TROOPS!
I agree. Anyone know of anything going on in Maine as a local effort to support our troops on Sunday? I can't get to D.C. but would be able to attend something local.
Bump!

That is so passé and moot!
That debate is a done deal. What we are doing is supporting the people who are implementing the resolution of that debate. We are SUPPORTING THE TROOPS who are putting their lives on the line.
We are opposing the people who are determined to destroy the moral of the men and women of the military. We are opposing the people who are dedicated to the destruction of our way of life.
We are preventing the repeat of history where in Vietnam we were winning until these same people got traction because we let them take the streets unopposed and subsequently ran.
While I supported the actions taken by GWB on the war. I do not support the socialist who is leading us to destruction. I am talking about increase of Fed gov., spending, China policy, and legal illegal immigration. Only giving disclosure so you understand my position.
Please do not respond to my feelings about the President, it is not pertinent and is inappropriate for this thread. Freepmail me and I will direct you to a thread that I have disscussed this. This thread is about the troops.
This is what it is about: http://home.insightbb.com/~armedforcestribute/
Let's keep this, and every Support the Troops, thread bumped from now until Monday.
