Ann Coulter: Never Compliment a Democrat
NewsMax.com ^ | Sept. 28, 2005 | NewsMax.com

Posted on 09/28/2005 12:21:53 PM PDT by kddid

Best selling author and conservative pundit Ann Coulter told Alan Colmes on the "Hannity and Colmes" show on Fox News last night that she meant it when she wrote in her book "How to Talk to a Liberal - If You Must," now out in paperback, that the rules for talking to a liberal forbid complimenting or showing graciousness to, or flattering a Democrat.

Colmes then told Coulter that Pat Tillman, the former pro football player turned Army Ranger who was killed in Afghanistan, was pro-John Kerry and against the war in Iraq. "You were quoted in the San Fransisco Chronicle yesterday" Colmes continued, saying that Tillman "was virtuous and pure, as only an American male can be. I wonder if you still would say those things" knowing he was a Democrat?

"No, but I don't believe it," she said. "I think you got that from one of those document that Mary Mapes (The producer of the bogus CBS News story on George W. Bush's Guard service) handed in to Dan Rather."

Sean Hannity then asked her about the story on her Web site, about the two Indiana firefighters volunteering to help the people of New Orleans who were sent by FEMA to an eight hour class on sexual harassment and equal opportunity, rather than straight to the Crescent City to aid residents. Ann notes on her site, "Anyone who works for FEMA for more than two weeks is required to take training programs in 'awareness and prevention of sexual harassment,' 'equal rights officer orientation,' and 'valuing diversity.'"

She told Hannity it was just another case of "Welcome to the federal government.

"That's what we ought to be having hearings on. That's what I think [former FEMA boss] Michael Brown should have been asked about. I assume this applies to all federal agencies, which is why in general, conservatives don't want to federalize everything. This is what you get when you get FEMA."

Hannity said, I think you could do a whole book just on this topic!" No, Coulter disagreed, the diversity training before you can go and rescue people says it all.

Today on Fox News' "Dayside" program, Coulter commented on Tom Delay's indictment by a Texas grand jury, saying it is pure politics by prosecutor Ronnie Earle and is a perfect example of the need for her book because Liberals want Republicans outlawed, and they "would like to put us all in Guantanamo."

Yeah, the DOI did a GREAT Job fleecing American Indians ....

Well I did say some in the DOI. Consequently, we were affected by that investigation....had no connection to it but it dealt with information systems and vulnerability.

Would she like to be harassed by a former firefighter? If I wasn't married, I'd gladly do it!

DoD has to do it too. It doesn't matter how important or non important you think the feds are, but all the agencies have the same training.

First I find it highly unlikely that Pat Tillman was a Kerry supporter or was against the war. He joined after 9/11 and gave up a multi-million dollar contract to do so. I'd be blown away to find out that he was not a conservative, Bush supporter and had he not been killed in Afghanastan, not Iraq mind you, that he would support the Iraq conflict as well.

Second point as it relates to this article I have a good friend who is a fireman and his 21 yr old son is a volunteer fireman and the son immediately went to New Orleans to help out after Katrina. After being down there for a week he called home very disallusioned and said Dad, all anybody does down here is sit around and complain. He was referring to the locals not the National Guard or other volunteers.

Just found this:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/1491284/posts?page=1">Found

Baer, who served with Tillman for more than a year in Iraq and Afghanistan, told one anecdote that took place during the March 2003 invasion as the Rangers moved up through southern Iraq.

“I can see it like a movie screen,” Baer said. “We were outside of (a city in southern Iraq) watching as bombs were dropping on the town. We were at an old air base, me, Kevin and Pat, we weren’t in the fight right then. We were talking. And Pat said, ‘You know, this war is so f— illegal.’ And we all said, ‘Yeah.’ That’s who he was. He totally was against Bush.”

Another soldier in the platoon, who asked not to be identified, said Pat urged him to vote for Bush’s Democratic opponent in the 2004 election, Sen. John Kerry.

Senior Chief Petty Officer Stephen White — a Navy SEAL who served with Pat and Kevin for four months in Iraq and was the only military member to speak at Tillman’s memorial — said Pat “wasn’t very fired up about being in Iraq” and instead wanted to go fight al Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Here's what Google turned up:

----
Yet other Tillman family members are less reluctant to show Tillman’s unique character, which was more complex than the public image of a gung-ho patriotic warrior. He started keeping a journal at 16 and continued the practice on the battlefield, writing in it regularly. (His journal was lost immediately after his death.) Mary Tillman said a friend of Pat’s even arranged a private meeting with Chomsky, the antiwar author, to take place after his return from Afghanistan — a meeting prevented by his death. She said that although he supported the Afghan war, believing it justified by the Sept. 11 attacks, “Pat was very critical of the whole Iraq war.”

He said both Pat and Kevin (who has a degree in philosophy) “were amazingly well-read individuals … very firm in some of their beliefs, their political and religious or not so religious beliefs.”

Hmmm.. did he do any fighting in Iraq? Or is Baer a complete liar? “I can see it like a movie screen,” Baer said. “We were outside of (a city in southern Iraq) watching as bombs were dropping on the town. We were at an old air base, me, Kevin and Pat, we weren’t in the fight right then.

if the dems got all the conservatives in gitmo, it would suddenly be ok for it to become, in fact, the toture center that they claim it is.

A footnote on diversity.

Here at work, the focus is on black folks and women, period. When I was having problems with a federal agency with regards to my disability, it was suggested I form a 'club'. Somehow, they did not view that as a racist, sexist response. (what would we do, compare our meds over lunch?)

'Diversity' is a business. If you don't fit their profile, they want nothing to do with you. If equal opportunity were the real goal, they would focus on the most disadvantaged group, disabled vets. It is all about power. They don't want to share it with anyone.

It was interesting to call their number on that. Of course, they missed the whole point. In the meantime, I decided not to deal with the offending agency.

It is important to remember that the Soviet Union had racial and ethnic quotas. See how well socialism works?

Diverstity training = training competant people to work with incompetant people who cannot be fired in order to present the image of "diversity" to the powers that be.

"Anyone who works for FEMA for more than two weeks is required to take training programs in 'awareness and prevention of sexual harassment,' 'equal rights officer orientation,' and 'valuing diversity.'"

This is absolutely true. It was part of the Clinton Administration policy enacted on the heels of the Clarence Thomas Hearings.

Another section defined sexual harassment as relations between any superior and any subordinate.

Sort of like an executive and an intern.

But I guess if you write the rules you don't have to obey the rules.

Let's see.

First he's hard fighting in Afghanistan. He pulls out of battle, parachutes into hostile Iraq, "fights the insurgents"
Bitches about what an F--- illegal war it is and tells everyone to vote for Kerry BEFORE he's even won the Democratic nomination(remember it was Dean before Kerry) then transfers back to Afghanistan where he is mysteriously killed by his own troops.
Who is the historian on this? That Brinkley fellow who wrote Kerry's alleged Bio?
