Is the White House Serious or is this All a Dream?

I am sorry, but no matter where you stand on the Miers nomination, is the White House serious that they are so obsesssed with ensuring she is confirmed that they are willing to no only shove her down conservative throats (while tearing the base in two), but to make sure it happens, they are going to shove Spector's stem cell bill down our throats too(see Specter deal mentioned on another thread)? For the life of me, I cannot understand it and I wonder how anyone on here can, no matter how you feel about Miers. They are digging themselvs deeper and deeper, and soon there will be no way out. I really hope they come to their senses.

Remember, that brilliant strategy got us the WAR ON TERROR, secrets sold to the Chinese, politics of personal destruction, and a bit sucking sound under the White House desk.

When people are under hysterical attack, they tend to dig in

And some people don't like to be contradicted, even if it's done in a soft voice.

Like someone else said, Bush would rather pull the troops out of Iraq than admit he's made a mistake here. And so it goes...

I remember the part where we got control of the Congress in 1994 too.

Voting 3rd party and likely allowing a Dem to get voted in for the short term, is better than more Bushes for the long term.

This veteran of the impeachment wars says yer wrong.
