Joseph Wilson, Valerie Plame's husband, will address the National Press Club on Oct. 31 -- Halloween -- it was announced on Wednesday. The luncheon will begin promptly at 12:30 p.m., with Wilson's address starting just after 1 p.m., followed by a question-and-answer session. (You need advance reservations.) Wilson's appearance on Monday suggests he expects indictments to come -- or something to happen in the White House leak case -- by Friday. The Washington Post on Tuesday described Wilson as a man of "flamboyant style and a love for the camera lens." The report noted that he propelled the leak involving his wife's CIA job into a two-year legal probe that may end with the indictment of top White House officials.

What is the point of hearing a known liar give a speech?
To: inpajamas
It figures this meathead would be addressing another bunch of meatheads.
You want to see the biggest bunch of whiners in the Nation's Capital? Fine, just go to the National Press Club bar on Friday around 5:30 PM. You will hear nothing but moaning and groaning and how the scoops know more than everyone in town. It's quite a show.
They are also lousy dressers.

Interesting timing, tells you two things.
#1 They want to have him on hand to comment on any possible indictments.
#2 He was NOT given a letter telling him he or his wife are in jeopardy of charges, for if they were, he would not be talking to the press club on this date.
Very interesting...

The only player in this whole fiasco who is a proven liar. And he's the one making money giving speeches. What is wrong with this Country?

Maybe he knew about the forged Niger documents that France payed for before they were "discoverd"?
And maybe he knows something else before it is announced?

--- If he is not indicted between now and then for revealing the identify of a CIA agent.

You could be right.
But remember this, if Rove is not indicted, his little plan didn't work.

That's my sentiments, but don't tell it to lugsoul. He's defended this whole coup d'etat right from the get-go.

#2 He was NOT given a letter telling him he or his wife are in jeopardy of charges, for if they were, he would not be talking to the press club on this date. I think if they had been given such a letter, Joe Wilson would be MORE likely to be talking to the press club, ramping up his ongoing jihad against his "persecutors" in the Administration.

Would you mind filling me in on the Russert connection to this? I have seen numerous references to him 'looking nervous', but have never read the reason for it.
Thanks
