Posted on 10/29/2005 5:10:12 PM PDT by N2Gems

Can anyone point me to a list of democrats at the federal level that have been convicted of crimes vs. republicans?

Yeah, good stuff in there and it makes you realize what a tempest in a teapot the current "scandal" is

thanks for getting my interest up with your initial link.
this was my first post. I have been a long time reader of FR, but just signed up for one issue I have been researching. I'm tired of those who call this an illegal war. I was going to do a vanity post about it for my first post, but, this topic got me because it has so much in common with my topic...how can Clinton get so many passes for his acts and not the current administation.....more to comoe.

Its kinda hard to get an accurate list since the MSM, when reporting crimes committed by Democrats, rarely mention the persons political affiliation. Whereas when they report a crime reported by a Republican, with very rare exceptions, the political affiliation always gets mentioned.

I was thinking about this yesterday or the day before. Found several from Clinton like, Espy, Secretary of Agriculture, and Pena (?) Sec. of Transportation (?), the one with the payoffs to mistress who omitted paying taxes who is head of the Spanish TV network now, and a couple from Carter. What I started to wonder about is has there been any Democrat national officeholder, cabinet member or anybody as high as Sandy Burglar since Nixon administration who went to jail or do they only get rapped on the knuckles? Anybody know? I can't remember any.
