There may be legal issues that prevent Jim Robinson from responding in any to this story.

It is like a reporter coming to Rove or Libby and saying they know that Valerie Plame is CIA. Even if the press may think they know something, a person can be liable for confirming a story -- depending on what information they have.

It is wise for Jim Robinson not to respond...

Giving private info away about MD4Bush may put FreeRepublic in legal jeopardy.

Steffen could subpoena such information, but not necessarily a news media.

In the computer age, someone could use someone else's computer and email address -- so knowing IP addresses and what workstation/computer inside a network that an email or post originated does not prove anything.

It is wise for Jim Robinson to stay silent on this until any possible legal issues remain.

A good example is the Valerie Plame and the possible involvement of Rove and Libby. Just because some fruitcake newspaper reporter has some story, it is not okay to confirm or deny information about a CIA agent.

Libby and Rove are under intense pressure because of their alleged involvement with a media source.

If there is any possible jeopardy to Free Republic, then Jim Robinson is wise to stay silent.

Jim Robinson will do what Jim Robinson wants to do. I'm sure he knows far more than me about the legal implications of releasing information. I've never explicitly called on him to do so, unlike other Freepers.

Profile stinks of DU. That's not hind sight, that's from experience. Freepers vent but this sounds trite, especially for a profile page which is usually more of a vision/mission statement.

You know when I knew what he was? When he said he read the Atlantic and said parenthetically it was a lib rag his wife read. ANd when he allegedly admired Rove for "dirty tricks". Libs postiing here as trolls often refer to "lib rags" their wives read. Soon as I saw that, I knew he was a troll.

Sure hope some folks get a clue that we do have trolls on here from the RATs and when they see someone posting that advocates dirty tricks against the Dems, better take a second look and then look again.

Worth repeating.

How does opening Freepmail put a person at risk? Please explain...

It would make one knowledgeable of the emailed information.

Thus putting one at risk of the question, " What did you know and When did you know it?"

Umm...I think you're stumbling into the money connections.

O'Doherty works for O'Malley. O'Doherty's brother had worked for the County Exec Jim Smith. O'Doherty's daughter opens a new restaurant at a site where O'Malley "encouraged" redevelopment. It alos looks like a possible money connection between the O'Doherty brothers and Damien's position as President.

The MD GOP should be all over this one. If the WAPO is implicated as a willing contributor and co-conspirator, the question then becomes who was Ryan's connection at WAPO? Who wrote the story?

That's typical Balmer Sun spin.

Rehash all of their past clippings against Steffan [NCPAC] and smears against the Ehrlich administration and quote Maryland Democrat dolts who are allowed to deflect the story off topic while not being asked any investigative questions by the reporters.
