I disagree, the muslims in America simply know that this is a country where the 2nd Amendment is one of our cherished rights. That Americans have a history of fighting and winning, as opposed to the French.
Now that was funny...lol
Go to the link at the top of this article. They have photos.
France has been protecting it's culture from external pollution for years. They have banned English words, etc. It seems that all that may be for naught. French culture may disappear in the very near future. Oh well.
so have the french surrendered to them yet?
That's BBC, not Le Monde, Le Figaro or the International Herald Tribune (printed in Paris) (don't have front page photos of the "banlieue"). At lunch I'll check out some of the regional papers where this is supposed to be happening also. Maybe the French government hasn't leaned on them, like I expect has happened with the big dailies. Turns out that Liberation (a VERY leftist rag, even for the Frogs) does have front page photos.
"keeps ethnic populations seperated" - take a look at East LA.
If you don't think the exact same thing can happen here, you are a fool. The same hatred is being taught in mosques all across America. The same violence is coming here. And soon.
Well, which is more rational observation about Arabs in the US?
One that the muslims in the American Community have more of a vested interested in seeing their(and everyone else's) community be successful since Arabs here have jobs and live productive lives, thus they don't have a tendency to riot.
Or-
Arabs would like to riot here, but they are kept in check by an Anglo American Community that under the 2nd Amendment would strap on a Glock 21 and lock and load their civilian AR-15s to put them down.
or some combination of the two.
Hey, I am a big 2nd Amendment Fan, but having been around Arabs in Europe...I know from personal experience there's a big difference.
And they didn't hear about it in France, either. Until it exploded. The same hatred is being preached in mosques all over America, too. Our "Arabs" are not "different."
It depends on how large the population of Arabs is relative to the locals. They get critical mass and then the action starts. Critical mass has not been reached here - YET.
Yep...I am a fool...that's right...as opposed to a crazed, conspiracy theory, alarmist.
There's no doubt that there are islamofacists out there that wish to do us harm...but to say that there are already "vast", such as Paris, communities of them within the US that wish to do non Arabs harm is paranoic and not realistic.
If so, what's the timeline for the US government overthrow by the vast islamic army's of Dearborn Michigan, chief?
You've been to a Mosque in the US recently? What was it like?
So much for the we're-unemployed-so-we-riot explanation.
I recently read an article in National Review where the author pointed out that in the US, Muslim groups have generally kept their heads down and not tried the same sort of intimidation we've seen in France, the Netherlands, Norway etc. After 9/11, groups of young muslims in the UK ran around stopping cars and demanding that the drivers praise Osama Bin Laden.
The author pointed out that, in many parts of the US, doing something like that would be a great way to get your brains blown out all over the roadway. So, the muslims in this country have generally been well-behaved.
Plus, we don't have the same easy access to welfare in this country as exists in much of Europe. So, young muslim males have a lot less time on their hands to stew and plot.
Don't be too sure. We're 0.5% Mohammedan. France is 10% Mohammedan.
Oh; I see. In a similar vein, I just heard on the radio - Fox news - a comment about the riots. No mention of the nationality of the rioters or any other information.
