WASHINGTON, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Karl Rove's colleagues are preparing for the possibility that he may leave the White House because of the CIA leak case.
Despite the insistence of friends that he is out of legal jeopardy, several of the lawyers who deal with special counsel Patrick Fitzgerald believe Fitzgerald is continuing to look into the possibility of charging Rove with lying to investigators or the grand jury or both, Time magazine reports.
Several Bush administration officials predict that within a year, the president will have a new chief of staff and press secretary, probably a new treasury secretary and maybe a new defense secretary, the magazine said.
If Rove does head out, he may leave behind a wounded president.
"A president who loves to hit home runs and wants to be remembered for swinging for the fences is being forced to take base hits," says a former White House official.
"says a former White House official."
Jimmy Carter?
Why don't we bomb UPI with emails, demanding to know the sources?
I'm sick of these supposed to be "reporters" getting away with this crap. We're all p*ssed cause the Republicans don't fight back, can we?
Or do we just sit back and watch this continue and complain about it?
I dunno.......just frustrated.
And Rummy was going to resign a year back too, right. Day dreams not news or analysis.
Rush is right: They print what they want to happen.
Rove, in my opinion, will leave the WH on his own schedule and probably not in the next year.
When Russert asked the Swimmer why he should leave if he hasn't been indicted. Kennedy..."It doesn't matter, he has to go"
When pigs fly.
In your dreams
it's been a long day can't think of others-----
Actually it was purchased by the Unification Church (Moonies) who also own/publish The Washington Times and seem to keep totally out of the editorial side, or so the reporters/editors say. That's what prompted Her Highness of Bias Helen Thomas to resign in a huff.
Geez, youl'd think that the MSM would have gotten by now that if a story has no source, we are not going to believe it.
Despite the fact that I'd hate to see Karl Rove leave the White House, particularly if he were driven out by politics, this President is not dependent on Rove or on any other aide.
Bush can handle the job very well with whatever staff he chooses to hire.
This wet dream posing as news shows UPI doesn't exist.
This bs is why I have the tagline below.
"Then there's GOP operative Grover Norquist, (he's marrying a Muslim) an agent of influence for Islamists in Washington, as I detail in Infiltration and support through several alarming documents posted on sperryfiles.com.
"Because he's best pals with Karl Rove,
he's getting to place bad people in the White House, DHS, the Transportation Department, and other key sensitive agencies in the war on terror.
"And he and his partnerPalestinian activist and former Alamoudi deputy Khaled Saffuriare getting the president to legitimize Islam by placing pro-Islam political messages in his speeches.
"Bush is the first president to mention "mosques" and the "Quran" in inaugural addresses. The stated goal of their Islamic Institute, which got seed money from Alamoudi, is to promote Muslim activists to positions of power."

You are correct... This thread Truth on Trial--What you can no longer say about our enemy in the terror war

Call me crazy, but according to the definition of the word, our newspapers and media ARE NOT mainstream.
SYLLABICATION: main·stream PRONUNCIATION: mnstrm
NOUN: The prevailing current of thought, influence, or activity. ADJECTIVE: Representing the prevalent attitudes, values, and practices of a society or group: mainstream morality.
Let's begin by taking back the use of the language. We can refer to the media, the press, periodicals etc. without prefacing the word with "mainstream."

How's this?
Enemy + Media = Enemedia.

We think this is a much more accurate description of the media!
Must be a very scary place, the world you live in. Not all Muslims are bad. There were a whole bunch of Christians that fought for Germany during WW2. Does that make all Christians enemies of the US?
We had a lot of fun on the thread that night (those of us in Colorado were unhappy about the election results) and between justanobody and Randallflagg, a new word was born. The media isn't mainstream and it IS the enemy, so I think it works perfectly! Glad you like it!
