Setting an example: Which New England RINO can we take out?
My addled brain | November 23, 2005 | ModernDayCato

Posted on 11/25/2005 8:46:05 AM PST by ModernDayCato

I'm getting a little sick and tired about reading about the RINOs here on the east coast who keep scuttling things and throwing monkey wrenches into the progress toward holding Republican feet to the fire.

Isn't there some way we New Englanders can send a message to our RINOs in Congress that we are gunning for them?

Isn't there a somewhat vulnerable RINO that we can target and get rid of?

Don't any of my fellow FReepers know of a good candidate out there that could be run against one of these idiots?

Can't we form RINO-PAC and scare some of these people straight, a la Club for Growth?

Anyone?

Open to suggestions, and I'll open my checkbook to help the cause.

A decent candidate is running against Chafee, one who has a real shot at winning - Steve Laffey.

Forget Chafee, the only alternative, Laffey, is an open borders, police state communitarian.

Really? I thought that Chaffee was being backed by the White House? Also, what happened to the guy that was running against Kennedy out in RI -- nice guy, Navy SEAL, looked like he could snap Kennedy in half like a twig.

We have two RINO's in Maine that I sure wish we could get rid of! No one will run against them. We are sunk.

What the hell's the story up there? The same thing happens here in CT -- no one will run against Shays or any of the other RINO idiots, but they all bitch about them.

I think I am actually going to run for First Selectman (sort of mayor) here in my small (26,000) town.

Rogers. Good man, no one wants him.

The problem is, the dead, the near dead and the brain dead reflexively vote dimocrat.

In Rhode Island, that's eighty percent of the voters.

The state motto, "Hope" should be changed to "Hopeless."

Lincoln Chafee is the worst of the worst. He somehow managed to be even worse than his father

Bear in mind that the difference between Republican and Democratic Senators is that the latter constantly live in fear of a primary challenge while the former don't.

This must change.

How about McCain? He's not from New England, but he has a far bigger national recognition. Taking him out would put the fear into other RINOs?

Sure, you could vote for their Democrat opponent.

Rogers. Met him. Nice guy. Definitely a black ops type. Which of these losers won by the least last time around? Anyone know?

Wow...17 posts before someone suggests that any RINO is better than any Democrat. That's got to be a record. Sorry...I've strayed off the reservation, so that dog won't hunt. [Yes, I used two cliches on purpose]

I think part of the problem some wont run againts these RINO's is that they dont know if they have backing.

But lets say there is a TV comercial saying how bad A RINO is. then they might give it a go. Cause it takes lots of money to get TV ads going. WHich ussually means someone with money is behind them. Or againts the RINO.
