According to the newspaper, the contract on the matter has already been signed. Tor M-1 air defense system
Tor is a solely defensive weapon, which intercepts cruise missiles. Journalists contacted the management of the Kupol (Dome) enterprise, which manufactures Tor anti-missile systems, although they failed to obtain a confirmation of the above-mentioned transaction.
A source from the air defense industry said that it goes about the sale of 29 Tor M-1 anti-missile complexes on the base of the Greek order. Greece purchased 21 systems and was intended to acquire 29 more. The country turned the order down at the end of the nineties. Experts evaluate the Iranian contact in the sum of $700 million.

You and me both. Trouble is, I don't think we can stop the clock.
Why is Putin playing with fire like this? There are plenty of other countries Russia could sell weapons to. It can't just be the money.
This is big-time troublemaking. Give nuclear arms to a homicidal maniac and missiles to protect himself against attack.
Russia is well within range of nuclear missiles, both from Iran and Israel. Are they nuts?
When Israel strikes, I hope the wind is strong out of the southeast.
Oh good! They are putting up some targets!
What on earth is Russia up to?????
Putin is the Bill Clinton of Russia.
He's just a boob with a title and oozes incompetence!!
The ugly, alcoholic stepsister of Eurasia again proves her worth.
Translation
TOR M1 missle system = bomb magnet.
I know of least 3 systems that would put this out of action so fast, the ops would be, well, BBQ'd.
Who knows what is current in our ECM inventory, or what the IAF folks have at hand?
But didn't GW look into Puttie's eye and see that he was an honest, sincere peace loving man?
Israel knows how to handle such matters. The words "never again" will ring more and more loudly in the ears of the population (and teir leaders) as those 9th Century knuckledraggers move toward their own national Armageddon.
And as the ultimate con man of all time....Bill Clinton charmed a nation.
Putie has some of that charm....for a Ruskie.
Bush has that age-old alcoholic's urge to please everyone all the time.
That's why he hasn't vetoed a single spending bill.....and why he seems so star-struck with Democrats.
I'm afraid Bush will never see the Democrats as he sees Al Quaeda.
We know that Democrats are more dangerous.
Would be terrible in a wonderful kind of way if "somebody" invented a Cruise missile that carries a HARM missile for defense against being radiated.. wouldnt it.. and with no radiation both would go off on contact..
Absolutely correct, sir! One thing we've learned since Desert Storm is that the Russians/soviets/Evil Empire make crappy weapons.
Remember the "$10 billion in arms saddam bought from the Russians"? I don't think saddam got his money's worth. Of course, he isn't really in any condition to complain now, is he?
Also, please remember one steel fact: It's not just the weapons. Even more critical to winning a firefight, battle, or war is the quality of personnel and their training. (Train, train, train!) I'm betting that the iranians are even worse fighters than the Iraqis, because of the low quality of their personnel and the chinese firedrills that pass for military training. Think along the lines of a monkey in the missile compartment of a Ohio-class boomer. "Insha allah, how do I make it go bang?"
Exactly. Forced military service does not produce quality forces. It will be 5-10 years before these things are ever fielded anyway. Even if these things were 100% effective against cruise missiles, they would run out of rounds before the first wave of attacks were finished.
W says that about everyone ... even Mooselimbs and Democrats.
