Just heard Chris Wallace on WABC radio saying that Kerry, Boxer, Pelosi, have really hurt the democrats. He thinks that Murtha could get away with his comments (I disagree) but that the others hurt the party.

I believe this will be effective for two reasons:

1. The Republicans finally fired the first shot. This automatically puts democrats in a defensive position. Even if they come back with their own attack it is always going to comeback to that "White Flag" ad.

2. We all think that the Republicans should have answered back a long time ago. The fact that they didn't could be a blessing in disguise. Democrats have been attacking since the 2000 election so I think the public has become numb to what they are trying to say (Not to say it hasn't been effective sometimes). Finally the Republicans shoot back and it is sort of a novelty. Something new. Something to actually debate. Look how excited we all are for a 1 minute ad. This is energizing the party and hopefully we can perpetuate this and hold these people accountable for what they say.
