Stanley Tookie Williams executed Crips gang co-founder put to death for 4 murders

SAN QUENTIN, California (CNN) -- Convicted killer and Crips gang co-founder Stanley Tookie Williams was executed early Tuesday at the California state prison at San Quentin.
The execution went ahead as scheduled after the U.S. Supreme Court late Monday rejected a last-ditch appeal.
The high court's ruling followed California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision to deny clemency for Williams, 51, who received a lethal injection at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday (3:01 a.m. ET).

I fully support the death penalty. He had 20+ years to be redeemed - I'm sure he's already figured out, he couldn't redeem himself. May his victim's family have some sort of rest that this fight is over.

Just listening to the observer's here on UK news. Tookies supporters seem to have upset the victims family by announcing 'The state of California has just killed an innocent man'. How is that allowed?

Bout damn time.
I don't know if it was intentional or not, but as I was driving home KLOS here in L.A. was playing the song "Hand of Doom" right about the time the process execution was taking place. Had to laugh...

I am actually against the death penalty for pragmatic reasons (though not against killin' when someone is desperately begging for it), but I have a really hard time feeling sorry for a fella who was very obviously a sociopath through and through. If you are going to have a death penalty, it should be reserved for people like him.
