Former US president George Bush said in Kuwait that he would like to see ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein "shut up" during his trial and stop acting like he is the president of Iraq.
"Well, frankly, I'd like to see Saddam Hussein shut up when he sits in that dock there," in reference to Saddam's combative posture during his trial, Bush said after delivering a keynote address at an economic conference.
His remarks were received with a loud applause from the Kuwaiti audience who still remember when Saddam ordered his troops to invade and occupy the emirate in 1990 before being driven out by a US-led coalition during Bush's term.
"That's a cheap shot at him, but he can't get me any more," added Bush.
"But he is sitting there acting like he is the president of Iraq."
Kuwait, a staunch US ally, is home to up to 25,000 US soldiers and serves as a transit point for troops in and out of Iraq.
He'll get his wish.......after the trial is over. A rope around the neck has a unique way of instilling silence in someone.
You need to have this chat with the guy between you and your son.
It won't be a rope.
It will be a 7.62 MM in the chest...
While he is at it, Bush Sr should also tell Carter and Clinton to keep their traps shut.
how about a .22 behind the ear?
Since Carter is no longer president of the United States, but is being given a hefy pension for doing nothing.
You're right, but Bush41 has too much class for that. But I'll say it: Jimmuh, STFU. Please.
Oh he will be shutting up. Soon. In the Biblical sense. And I've seen South Park. I know what awaits him.
Either way is okay with me Mike......although you can reuse the rope for his henchmen.
nah......
just your typical firing squad will suffice...
Gag Saddam.
believe me there is A LOT of AK-47 ammo over there :)
So will they actually execute him? It seems like the type of thing that would not really happen in this UN, Tookie williams world...
I was hoping for the industrial shredder.
I only wish he was doing nothing. He really has proved to be not only our worst President but our worst ex-President as well. Jimmy, please stick to the Habitat for Humanity gig. You can't cause us too much grief doing that.
Tie him to the front of a car and see how fast he can run?
I like your thinkin'.
His pride is still suffering from the drubbing he received in 1980.
