They came from near they came from far following a distant star to where he lay Not being sure of what it meant but knowing it was heaven sent they made their way
And the creatures gathered round and didn't make a sound and the angels cried The angels knew what was to come the reason God had sent his son from up above
It filled their hearts with joy to see and knowing of his destiny came tears of love And the creatures gathered round and didn't make a sound and the angels cried
I've often thought about that night and wondered if they realized that star so bright Was sent to tell all the land the son of God would soon become the son of man And the creatures gathered round and didn't make a sound and the angels cried And the angels cried and the angels cried
LOL. Don't go to too much trouble now. :)
Hi Temple Owl. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
I was especially drawn to Do You Hear What I Hear?
For several years, I have been losing my hearing due in part to being exposed to loud noises in the constuction industy. Four or five years ago, my family surprised me at Christmas time with a hearing aid. WOW! What a difference it made.
Some folks have questioned, "A hearing aid? Not a very personal gift." Quite the contrary, it doesn't get much more personal than hearing the soft voices of grandchildren.
As time progressed, I began suffering greater loss. It becomes irritating to me as well as others when I have to ask for someone to repeat themselves, or rely on Mrsd to repeat what has been said.
Last week I received an early Christmas present - a second aid. My hearing ability had dimished to the point that 2 is better one. The next day I was brought to tears when I heard Logan's soft voice, clearly and distinctly the first time. I didn't have to bend down to his face to hear him or ask him to speak directly to my face. I was also able to reduce the volume on the TV and turn off close-caption.
So, in answer to the song's writer, Yes, I Do Hear What You Hear - and maybe a little more.
Praise the Lord for His Excellent Greatness. Praise His Holy Name!
Oh, DD, you just made me cry talking about hearing Logan's soft voice. Thank God the hearing aids worked for you. God bless you at this Christmas season...and always! (((hugs)))
I like this song, The Christmas Shoes
Sorry I missed you last night - I'm sure you had a wonderful time with the Fresno Freepers.
Thanks for your post and the link, Mayor.
'jmpmstr4u2' needs prayers as he and his men were shelled a few days ago in OIF. He's not severely wounded but does have injuries. Also, his mother is FReeper 'SoldiersPrayingMom.'
Thanks!
Beautiful song, Victoria. We went to see and hear NewSong a couple years ago. Great group.
Wishing you the very best for Christmas.
Thanks Victoria. That's a touching song - you're the first one to contribute a song all day. :)
A great song!!

I knew about jmpmstr4u2 and was relieved to find out the injuries weren't as severe as first feared. Will continue to pray for he and his men.
Thanks so much, Dave, and Merry Christmas to you as well.
Thanks much. Merry Christmas to you, too.
Great, I'm glad. I am going to run some errands, but I'll be back shortly.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones, Diver Dave.
Lovely thread, Aqua...beautiful music.
