Dear Freepers,
This afternoon I was in a very bad crash. My car is totaled, hit broadside by a pick up truck. thank G-D I have just been discharged from the hospital with just some bruises. I am in a lot of pain, on meds, but I will be OK.
I just want to let you know I am hanging in here, I could use your prayers.
G-D has spared me so I can tell people to drive carefully and stay alert! May you all be blessed with a safe Christmas and Chanukah full of joy and close to your loved ones.
Thanks for the ping!!!
Oh Alouette, you absolutely have our prayers. Thank God you are OK.
Alouette, thankfully you are safe. We would miss you here.
Prayers and best wishes for a quick recovery, Alouette.
Rest and take good care of yourself...chicken soup is good...My daughter-in-law always makes homemade chicken soup when anyone here is feeling poorly.
Here's a word of advice- do not sign off on your medical for awhile, some cervical, lumbar and other injuries take awhile to show up. Hope you have a very uneventual Christmas and glad you're still able to type :):):):)
Prayers for your speedy recovery going up, Alouette... I hope you're up and around soon!!!
Hashem, our One and Only G-d, I pray for Alouette's pain to be relieved and for her body to be healed. Amen
Heads up out there, folks, particularly in places where winter = slick roads.
IMPORTANT : If you suffer from a blurry vision or
dizzyness in the next 24hrs, call your doctor ASAP
You will be in our prayers.
Thanks for keeping us abreast, and thank G-d that your injuries were minor. I hope also that all involved in the crash are doing OK.
Refuah shlaimah.
BTW, I rediscovered your American Jewish history web site the other day, and there is fascinating Civil War material there. Thanks again.
Praise be to Him for keeping you safe!
Sorry to hear about your car but the main thing is that you are okay. Remember the car can be replaced but you can't. You have all of my prayers and warmest wishes for a happier holidays. amxfan2002
God bless you, and thanks for putting that you are OK right in the title, to ease the shock.
I've been rear-ended twice while stopped at intersections. It happens.
Everyone says to take the pain medications, but my advice is, it depends what they are. It's entirely your decision, on your doctor's advice, but if you have a high pain threshold you might be better off not staying on them too long. You're the judge. Tylenol or ibuprofen aren't as strong, but they can be substituted for stronger stuff and help without some of the side effects.
Here's where I add that I have no expertise whatever to give medical advice. It's just a personal opinion.
Prayer bump.
I don`t wish to seem cold but, assuming the other driver was at fault, when you are able make sure that the police reports show that fact and tickets issued as necessary.
If the other driver is responsible do not claim anything on your own policy, if you have collision, they will surcharge you, deal only with the other drivers insurance.
Sheh-Elohim Yivarech Otcha
Is that right?
Prayers for a speedy recovery. One of the hardest things is moving after you have had some sleep especially if you forget that you are sore.
Prayer list ping for FReeper Alouette.
A votre sante!

(......heck no, I don't know any French as you can probably tell, LOL......)
