On January 4, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. (PST) the Rose Bowl Game will host the BCS National Championship, between USC and Texas once again showcasing the best of collegiate football in "The Granddaddy of Them All."® The Rose Bowl will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio.

My main points were that Texas could contain Bush more so than most teams because of their team speed, and that the USC defense couldn't stop Vince Young.

Without Puzlousny or however you spell his name, PSU's defense was merely good.

the Penn State game is another one I want to see played now with the way OSU is playing defense. It's like night and day, but I would say Penn State and Ohio State are 1 and 1a on defense in the nation.

Go whine on another thread. The AP National Championship trophies in Heritage Hall look like all the other AP trophies USC has won.

The AP trophy used to mean something before the inception of the BCS - after that, it became a COMPONENT of the BCS.

I disagree. I didn't think he had the ball. I thought that the replay cleared that all up.

Bush isn't "small" at all. In fact, that's part of his problem . . . I think he "runs too tall," as they like to say in the NFL. He doesn't have that wide, squat frame and low running style that you see in all great NFL running backs. If I were an NFL general manager, I'd have White higher on my draft board than Bush.

I was surprised and thought he just needed some time to collect himself. But at the press conference, though he had some compliments, he said that the Texas offense basically consisted of one player.

Oh well, I'm a Michigan fan and I completely enjoyed seeing Young do to USC what he did to the Wolverines last year :)

I gotta disagree with you on Bush. I think he may well be the 2nd coming of Gale Sayers.

I think he will be better unless he gets injured. With injury you just never know that - it's a crap shoot.

Bush has good size and he is really fast. I think he will be the best running back in the NFL since Bo Jackson.
