Murtha has always used his position to bring the pork home to his district and to the districts of his political friends. You get pork from pigs, not hawks.
Murtha's on the Defense Subcommittee of the Approriations Committee, not something like HASC.
In years past, as the media got arroused about pork in the military budget, they batted Murtha around. Now he's useful and is their new best friend. Even so, pigs still don't fly.
It's not that they're cowards. They're TRAITORS.
His lefty coordinators have filled the place with stooges apparently.

Tried to watch it - can't stand to listen to them lie over and over. Murtha says - TOP MILITARY PEOPLE SAY "WE CANNOT WIN IN IRAQ" - that's a LIE. We're already winning in Iraq! I refuse to listen to people who are so deceived they can do nothing but lie.
Over on C-SPAN 1 - Republican and conservative women are now giving speeches to the Press Club arguing FOR ALITO.
They had some protestors. It was so cool. The protestors said, "if Alito is confirmed women will die". All the ladies just stood there and smiled as the protestors were escorted out. One of the women took out a piece of paper and held it up - it said, "if Souter is confirmed - women will die". The place broke up in laughter. It shows the mantra of the dems/libs has never changed.
It's been much more enlightening and interesting to listen to conservative women who are accomplished - and how they are grouping together to support conservative candidates and causes.
I'm watching on C-Span 2 and it is a leftist, pro-terrorist orgy.
