Biden Blames Alito for His Wife's Tears; Accuses Him of Lying about CAP
CNN | governsleastgovernsbest

I never had much use for Joe Biden, and enjoyed as much as the next Freeper the ribbing he's taken over his record-breaking bloviation at the Alito hearings.

But while never high, my regard for him has just sunk much, much lower.

Wolf Blitzer just interviewed Biden in the context of the poignant scene of Mrs. Alito crying during the today's hearings when Sen. Graham recounted some of the unfair intimations of bigotry that the Dems leveled at Alito.

To Wolf's credit, he played more than once the footage of Mrs. Alito's distress. I would note that at least twice in the last week or so Rush Limbaugh has mentioned his respect for Blitzer.

In any case, Biden was clearly on the spot, and began with some vague generalities about the need to find a better way to determine a nominee's views than the current confirmation process.

But within seconds, Biden went on the attack, essentially blaming Alito for his wife's tears. He effectively accused Alito of lying about his knowledge of the activities of CAP, the Princeton alumni group of which he was a nominal member. In this way, he justified the harsh line of questioning by Kennedy and others that ultimately left Mrs. Alito in tears.

Well, what's sauce for the goose, etc. After all, we all remember the nasty, partisan attacks to which Senate Republicans subjected Ruth Bader Ginsburg and Stephen Breyer.

Oh, wait. There were no such attacks. The Republicans were perfect gentlemen. Confirmation blood sport is strictly a Dem game. Despicable.

The Concerned Princeton Alumni (CAP), which the Rat Senators say was bigoted against women and minorities, was headed in succession by Judge Napolitano of Fox News, by Laura Ingram ( a woman), and then by Dinesh D'Sousa (a minority of color.) It was founded by William Rusher (long-time editor of the National review)whose papers in the Library of Congress Ted Kennedy demanded be "subpoened." Rusher had already opened them to the New York Times which reported that they had nothing to do with Alito.

That's really strange ... for some reason I thought Dinesh was a Dartmouth alum who had worked at the Review.

Katie Couric lost her husband to colon cancer.

She is also smart enough to know she will be alienated millions of women if she starts to hammer on Mrs. Alito's emotional reaction to her husband being unfairly grilled by a bunch of SOB's.

I'll be watching tomorrow. It's going to be interesting.

I'd wager dumb E D Hill on Fox and Friends will say something REALLY stupid to degrade Mrs. Alito, unless of course she's on comp time tomorrow.

They're TOTAL patsies. All of them are simply pathological. How they make it through the day is just beyond me. They must all have very good handlers...though with the "gotcha!" questions they've been asking, totally fed to them by said "handlers" these past few days, it's obvious that they hire idiots to work for them as well. Water definately seeks it's own level.

Dims can NEVER see further ahead than the current chess move they've just made, can they?

And some want to trust our National Security to these people? Yeesh!

>>I heard exactly the same report on WABC radio news. Maybe your station got it from WABC.<<

Possibly. But it was a local reporter, of that I am certain.

Infuriating.

As someone who despises the AP, which I call the Agenda Press, I was disappointed to find that they did not appear to be the source of the story mentioned here.

The following links the AP story that came out of Washington just prior to
6:00 pm EST.

One cell organisms in a disease on a flea biting a dog's butt have more use to the universe than Joe Biden.

Wasn't Senator Byrd once at least a "nominal member" of the KKK?

Rusher had already opened them to the New York Times which reported that they had nothing to do with Alito.

Kennedy was hoping that the Republicans would say no to enhance the Dims debate.

[ Mrs. Alito in tears ]

What a smart lady.. BRILLIANT.. Jeese how they(her and him) will laugh about this.. after confirmation.. She struck the demos right in the heart.. with an object lesson..

Brilliant simply Brilliant.. A monkey wrench into the heart of democrat machine.. Any republican that DON'T bloviate about this is dumber than a U.N. official.. Much political leverage behind this.. neglecting it waste..

I hope that when Mrs. Alito walks into that hearing room with her husband tomorrow the chamber's onlookers will erupt in magnificent applause and cheering. Oh, would I love to see that on TV.

I don't think anyone is too surprised at the behavior of that beady-eyed little verminous animal, Joe Biden. He's had the same feral behaviour at every hearing I've seen televised going back for years and years.

I wonder if his wife puts him in a little cage every night with a wheel in it and a bowl of ferret food.

I hope that if the Dems cross the line again tomorrow, the Judge interrupts the inquisitor and escorts his wife out of the Senate.

The libs are getting desperate. The Federal court system is the only way the libs have been able to advance their agenda for the last thirty years or so and if the Supreme Court becomes packed with Constitutional orginalists, or just sane judges they are screwed. I fully expect the Democrats to filibuster Alito.
