Met Newt in Austin a week ago at an ACTPAC luncheon. He has an off the cuff style that is impeccable. His personal problems aside, he would destroy any liberal on the planet in a debate.

To answer your question Keyes is very good.
He is not able to connect to people on a personal level which is why he is a lousy candidate but he is a very good debater.
Ann is the zingermaster bar none. But for sheer logic, and trapping people in their own words, it's Buckley.
Lynn Cheney was GREAT on Point Counterpoint on CNN a lot of years ago.

Buckley handed John Kenneth Galbraith his head during a formal firing line debate a couple of decades ago.
Buckley is brilliant, but I wouldn't say he's a great debator. His pretentious 'accent' and use of archaic language might confuse the person he's debating enough to beat them though.
