Well John was a staff officer. Also, he spent the vast majority of his 38 years in the Reserves and was on active duty only a very short period during the many years of Vietnam. I always thought you got a Purple Heart at the hospital you were treated at when your unit cut the orders. That is how my men got them.
Makes me kind of wish I had put in for one when I got burned during a sapper attack. But what I did was stupid and I deserved to have gotten burned.

The highlights are at that Murtha has some big red flags about his purple hearts and there are eye witnesses as well as others who claim that Murtha told them that he was only scratched and didn't deserve purple hearts. And he points out that there are 20 years of differing stories about Murthas war service which is being ignored by the media.
Murano basically assails the MSM for failing to question the background of Murtha who is a liberal hero ONLY because of his war record. Murano also points out repeatedly and repeatedly the hypocrisy of the MSM when they questions Bush 41s war record or Dole's record or Reagan or Bush 43 service but when somebody questions Kerry or Murtha somehow it is political dirty pool.
Murano did a good job of representing himself. He was just a slight bit rushed but he kept to his points and didn't get knocked off track by the snarky questions from Howard Kurtz. Overall performance: A-
