MIAMI -- Former Attorney General Janet Reno got up and sang Aretha Franklin's "Respect" at a Miami fundraiser Thursday night.

The karaoke performance was caught on tape.

It happened at an event honoring the 10th anniversary of the Human Services Coalition. Proceeds went to help fight poverty.

Reno suffers from Parkinson's disease, but that hasn't stopped her public appearances. Recently, she gave speeches on law enforcement at the University of Iowa and Pennsylvania State University.

Who will raise money to clean up the place after the audience finishes blowing lunch?

Un-freaking-believable

There are things in life that can ruin any meal.
This is one of them.

I'm not disparaging her condition, but you have agree that hopping up on a karaoke stage this way opens her up to criticism. (Plus she made herself a target long before the Parkinson's diagnosis.)

That video is horrific. I'm actually embarrassed for her.

"And who says white folks have no rhythm?"

Who said Janet Reno is human?

She certainly did. And it does open her up. But I'm a big proponent of handicapped people trying to live normal lives and I just wanted to inject that - I totally got that you were not disparaging her condition.

She probably could have raised more money by threatening to perform if people didn't donate.

Due to the lighting and the makeup she looks like a mannequin to me in that photo - very odd effect.

What's next? Shakes the Clown gonna belt out "Burnin' Down The House" in memory of the victims of Waco?

You can't make this stuff up.

I say send Shake N' Bake to Iran as an official U.S. emmisary, that'll have whatshisname President/Iranian Fuehrer Badmood Achinmolars surrendering in record time.
