Oh, baby! Britney Spears is taking her son's life in her hands.
The blond pop tart cruised down the Pacific Coast Highway yesterday in her SUV with 16-week-old Sean on her lap.
That's a no-no in California, whose law says kids "must be secured in an appropriate child-passenger restraint [a safety or booster seat] until they are at least 6 years old or weigh at least 60 pounds."

One of the few things that still gets my blood boiling are these idiots who do not use car seats. I was surprized when i moved to DFW ten years ago that it was much more previlant than in my native Southern California. I asked a Dallas Sherrif about it and he said the driver he catch always cry poverty despite having a fat roll of twenty dollar bills or cultural issues.

I'm with you on this one - only my experiences were from the 70s. I used to climb all over the back seat, including sleeping in the back seat window or on the floor board - no air bags, no laws requiring seat belts be worn. Yet, miraculously, the Republic survived.
