New York Attorney General Elliot Spitzer personally intervened with a congressional panel to get a top aide out of testifying at an explosive hearing on pre-9/11 intelligence failures.
The House Armed Services Committee had requested testimony of Deputy Attorney General Dietrich Snell — a former top investigator with the 9/11 commission — at a hearing today on "Able Danger," the secret Pentagon cyber intelligence program that allegedly turned up the name of Mohammed Atta, the mastermind of the atrocity.
Snell [had] interviewed members of the Able Danger team during the commission investigation. The commission's report later dismissed the significance of Able Danger and its findings.
Snell refused to appear before the panel, citing a heavy workload in New York.
Darren Dopp, spokesman for the Attorney General's Office, confirmed that Spitzer got personally involved in the discussions

Doesn't look like CSPAN has Weldon/Able Danger Hearings on their schedule today. Weldon is on now discussing military spending.
Caller on CSPAN just asked Weldon to speak about Able Danger; said it is more important than the topic of military spending.

BTW, anyone know if Spitzer has the security clearance to be privy to classified Able Danger info? Depending on what Spitzer's been told, there could be another leak of classified info involved.

Another CSPAN caller is asking about Able Danger.
Maybe we can circumvent MSM and CSPAN and Able Danger can get put before the public.
Maybe a blitz of emails to CSPAN would get them to broadcast the hearings.
Now a 3rd caller on Able Danger. [This is probably irritating the CSPAN host. lol]
