Cheney's office under attack over shooting
Financial Times ^ | February 16 2006 | Caroline Daniel

When George W. Bush, then a gubernatorial candidate, accidentally killed a protected deer during a dove shoot in 1994, he and his press aide swiftly decided on a strategy: confess fast.

"People watch the way you handle things. They get a feeling they like and trust you or they don't," said a biography of Mr Bush.

We don't care about Vice president Cheney's unfortunate accident and we all hope his friend recovery. WHAT ABOUT THE SADAM TAPES!

I'm appalled by the media's "need to know" mentality. The media (paparazzi) were, in part, responsible for the death of Princess Diana.

Cheney acted like any responsible citizen; having his friend immediately transported to the hospital and
reporting the incident to the police. But it was another chance for the MSN's to throw more barbs at the Bush administration and they're taking every opportunity to enhance the story with their own evil litany.

You know, the press is hypocritical.

They didn't criticize Bill Clinton when didn't immediately notify the press after he discharged his gun in the Oval Office and shot an innocent young intern in the face.

Different kind of gun, of course, but the principle is the same.

We have Mocking bird in our neighborhood that during nesting season every year stalks my 85lb Rhodesian Ridgeback. This tough little dude has bit my dog's butt more than once and he's almost been chomped for his efforts a few times. If the dog's in the front yard, the bird uses a street light as a base for his attacks. If the dog's in the house, this little brute will go from window to window to challenge the dog through the glass. Fun to watch.

I've also seen a Mocking bird purposely dive into the grill of on coming car to attack it. That one didn't go so well...

What Cheney needs to do...is stand up and absolutely promise that the next time he goes hunting...several top journalists will be invited along with the VP (cameras even allowed)...oh, and if one of them happens to get in the wrong direction and gets winged by Cheney again...the other boys on the trip can take pictures and rush video feed live back to CNN Central...especially when Wolfe Blitzer is hit and he is trying to do a live report with pellet wounds to his chest...gasping for breathe...reporting live from a "private hunting club in west Texas, Wolfe Blitzer...just hit and wounded...I'm doing ok...but we need America to immedately know what happened. The ambulance will be here in a few minutes to whisk me away...but while we are waiting...a few words from the VP....When you pointed my way Mr. VP....were you thinking or reacting? And if you had a second chance to fire again...would you?"

We could watch this entire event with Wolfe...live...and really get some thrills out of it...and the CNN ratings would soar as Wolfe gasped, and gasped...and almost yelling at the camera guy to get a close-up.

Let's not let the facts stand in the way of a good story.

Here are some facts about Cheney that no one has yet seemed to reveal.

Among the sciolistic scriveners of the MSM it is well known that Cheney is Bush's hit man. It is equally well known the GWB loves his father. When his father lost the election to Klinton it was mainly due to the fact that the MSM thought his Vice-President was a joke. So GWB never forgave that VP for the loss and ordered Cheney to kill him last weekend. Unfortunately Cheney got his orders confused and went looking for the wrong Quayle, ergo he shot the wrong person. Don't tell David Gregory about this, or he'll cry for a month.:^)

What would you expect from a London FT reporter? She probably has no idea what any of these animals even look like nor what kind of gun is used for hunting them.

What's the difference between Caroline and the Panama Canal?

The Panama Canal is a busy ditch.

I hope she gets a thousand e-mails telling her a killdeer is a bird.
