This is what the warmer weather brought out in Olney.
It seems that as the weather warms up, the fair-weather antiwar protesters start to crawl out from under their electric blankets. This week the grumpies out numbered us 14 to 5, three times our number!!!
And I foresee their numbers to grow. We saw two new younger leftists grumpies who were at Olney's September 2005 antiwar rallies. At that time we, [Mr] & [Mrs] Trooprally, were not yet FReepers and we organized the counter rally ourselves from scratch. Back then, they gathered 60 the first week, and 40 the following two weeks. Again they out numbered us 25 the first week and 15 the next two weeks.
Most of our group then were from the local American Legion and VFW Posts. And they all wore their caps. It was great to see them. Unfortunately they are mostly WWII and Korean War vets so they have a good reason not to come out in the cold, rain & snow. They served our Country in worst conditions than these. They deserve some comfort at this time of their life. But hopefully they will start coming out with the warm weather.
The September antiwar group was called MOBilizing Mothers, formerly Mothers Oppossing Bush. Since Bush won (HeeHeeHeeHeeHee), they had to change their name.
The honor roll of FReepers this week include Kristinn, Welcome first timer, GunsareOK, welcome back, CindyTrueSupportor, always faithful, [Mrs] Trooprally, another always faithful, and myself.

Once again we had more honks and thumbs up than the pinkos. With the warm weather though, windows were open and we got 3 drivers yelling obscenities at us. What is nice is that the bus drivers also give us a honk or wave. The grumpies did receive more honks than any other time I remember.
We need your help. There are a lot of rallies scheduled in March, but if you can spare several hours, we would deeply appreciate the time.
REMEMBER
Next Saturday, same place, Georgia Avenue, MD Rte. 97 and MD Rte. 108 in Olney, MD Same time, 3 PM to 4:30 PM

Hope you all enjoy the read
Thank you sir! I hope to join you when I get a free Saturday.
Pacifists are useful idiots for the left.
What do you mean, warm weather? This is the coldest it's been on the East coast all winter.
Excellent AAR! Great work, all of you!
Pinging folks who may be near enough to join the trooprally's (Mr. and Mrs.) Olney, MD weekly (Saturdays) troop support Freeps...
Our troops will appreciate the support. Thanks to you from Missouri! Keep up the good work.
Thank you, all of you who continually give up your days off for the cause. You make me feel guilty, but I do love you all for doing what you do. God bless.
Nice job and nice AAR. I agree that people have to use their best judgment about weather conditions and their health.
Yes, I enjoyed the read...thank you.
Wish I were there!
Nice job! Will you contact the VFW and Legion as the weather gets nicer? It is a shame you can't get more people there.

You've been very supportive of the D.C. Chapter and we know you will continue. Thanks
[Mr] T
Partial sun, temps in the mid 40s with slight breeze, my type of FReeping Weather. Its a lot "warmer" than wind chill in the teens, cold rain or wet snow.
Can't wait for the "dog days" of March!!! Break out the Gatorade!!
:-D
Thanks for the help.
Any time I am able, I will be there!
