Durbin, Rockefeller and Wyden received criminal referrals today...leak probe
Fox News
Posted on 03/06/2006 7:13:06 PM PST by 212351st
I have been waiting for more information on what I thought I heard this afternoon on Fox News. What I heard was Durbin, Rockefeller and Wyden had criminal referrals and were being asked to submit to lie detector tests. This was tied to the leak investigation.
I don't post too often and I might be suffering from excess radon consumption.....and hallucinating.????
Help me out..... anyone else out there hear the same thing I did???

I heard something about this, too (also on Fox), but I haven't heard any details yet. I'm surprised there's not a lot of screeching and whining if this is true.

You're not hallucinating, Jed Babbin was on the John Gibson show and said the 3 are requested to submit to a polygraph.

Let your heart not be troubled. That is unless you are getting to much radium in you. I hope you are just kidding.
I had the radio tuned to Rusbo today for about 15 minutes while going to a store. And lo and behold he mentioned something to the effect some elected reps may be required to take poly test. I'll leave it go at that. Surely if there is truth to this, we shall see a lot more news pop up shortly.

Missed it. Do not watch Fox News much these days, really really hard to distinguish them from the other MSM harlots.

Don't hold your breath too long to hear much about this - even if severed heads are discovered in their respective closets. These are brave whistle-blowers. Only Republicans leak.

After what I've seen, I seriously doubt it.

May I humbly correct your gaffe? ..."we shall hear nothing more of this, as it will be declared DOA by the media and buried very quickly"

This is why Rockefeller is all of a sudden introducing legislation to ban secrets in the Federal government. In the meantime, The New York Times is shopping for a judge that will force the NSA to release it's secret material to the newspaper. If they can get a liberal judge to order it, the government will appeal and by the time it gets to the Supreme Court, the investigation will be old as the hills.

They will invoke some sort of executive priveledge or congressional immunity and give themselves paid time off to recover from their stress. Then their colleagues will give them special awards for being brave defenders of Free Speech.

Sadly I agree fully with you on this. And have stated same on more then one occasion. But we may get leaks as often happens. Rusbo got it from somewhere. Then conservative web sites will pick up on it. We shall see posts, via. these blog sites, Weekly Standard may pick up on it etc.. So. I am just stating it could come out. But like you said. The L/MSM will work overtime on this one to keep it mum.

You heard right = they are being requested - which is legal - but I believe they can refuse - if they do, it wont look good.........
But I've suspicioned Rockeee all along - he certainly committed another treasonous act by going the mid-east just before the war - to inform leaders - like the Pres. of Syria ! that Bush was really going to attack - (so warn your buddy, Saddam it isn't a bluff - give him time to his WMDs out of country etc.)
Rockeee even said on national tv that he went over and told them we were going to attack -
These folk should be called the Colander kids, they leak so much
I heard them say there are 3 very serious breaches of National Security that are going to be investigated.
About time.

Unfortunately, I heard today that one of your Senators, Sen. Snowe is joining with DeWine and Hagel...to side with the Dems, requesting an investigation into the NSA program against the POTUS.

both Snow - whom I have known for many years - and Collins are great disappointments up here. I was a delegate for our last State Convention and cornered them on some issues - not that it makes a whit of difference to them - just makes me feel good to let them know,

Do a Google search - it'll show up under FreeRepublic! but little else - I heard it and saw - I KNOW I did - on Fox news today, but can't even find anything on it on Fox News web site!
This may one of the fasted spikes of a story I've ever seen - and I've been around a while...
we cannot be quiet on this one - write, call, holler, demand...

Didn't I hear, a few years ago, that his son was killed under suspicious circumstances? Maybe got to close to some inconvenient truth?
I think, after that, Brit will not kow tow to anyone - not to the MSM - or even his own bosses?

Wikipedia reports:
Brit Hume's son, Washington journalist Sandy Hume was a reporter for The Hill. Sandy Hume broke the story of the aborted 1997 coup against House Speaker Newt Gingrich. In February 1998, Sandy Hume committed suicide with a hunting rifle. The National Press Club honors his memory with the annual Sandy Hume Memorial Award for Excellence in Political Journalism.
Never heard about that before. Where did you hear it was suspicious?

Well, let's just say that I've seen enough to convince me that Vince Foster and Ron Brown and the intern whose name began with an "M" weren't accidents. But in this case I don't remember ever seeing much supporting detail.

Alas, we know them too.Suzie is on TV more than CSI. No doubt still in touch with her old boss, who is still in touch with his.
Cursed as I am with NY's two beauties, I hesitate to pile on Suzie and Snow. But great disappointments deserve to be voted OUT not endured. Come to think of it, want to trade?
