As the U.S. enters its fourth year in Iraq, former President Jimmy Carter slammed the war as “completely unnecessary” and “unjust”, and called for a withdrawal of U.S. forces, The Associated Press news agency reported.

“It was a completely unnecessary war. It was an unjust war," said Carter, the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize winner.

"It was initiated on the basis of false pretenses. All of those are true, but we can't just pre-emptively withdraw."

Carter also demanded the Bush Administration to bring home as many troops as possible within the next year.

"The violence is increasing monthly," he said. "My prayer is we'll see some kind of democracy eventually evolve."

There are reasons why Jimmy Carter lost by a landslide.

"My prayer is we'll see some kind of democracy eventually evolve."

The US presence is, in part, the answer to your prayer, knucklehead.

I don't care what Carter says. I have never cared what Carter says. Today I care less what Carter says than I ever cared before!

From the man who was resoundingly tossed out of the White House because most Americans were tired of watching the country go to hell in a handbasket.

I've always wondered if some of his activities since then haven't been a way to get even.

So who will listen to the worse President in American history? And he's senile to boot. However, I've decided that when the Democrats get back into the Whitehouse I will not support their use of our troops even if Canada or Mexico attacks us.

"I've always wondered if some of his activities since then haven't been a way to get even."

Well, according to Michael Reagan, he went to Moscow in '84 to try and work a deal with the Soviets to get Reagan defeated. Deserving of execution if that is indeed true, IMO.

The democratic playbook is soo predictable these days:

Carter and the dems keep calling for troop withdrawls so when they do actually happen, they can claim it was all because of them.

DOCUMENTARY -- WMD: The Murderous Reign of Saddam Hussein

During his murderous reign, Hussein was responsible for about 50,000 deaths per year. Perhaps the SOB peanut farmer needs to consider all of the innocent people saved because of what our brave soldiers have done.
