Pages 186 and 193 of document BIAP 2003 00090 carry one of the most important information revealed so far regarding Saddam Nuclear Program. In these two pages which document a summary of meetings held by members of The Military Office of the Iraqi Baath Party and dated May/12/2002 and June/9/2002 they have a section that discuss Saddam Hussein meeting with the Chairman of the Atomic Energy and an elite of researchers.
I first thought that this may be a reference to a meeting between Saddam and the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) so I called both of IAEA offices in New York and Vienna to check if Saddam had any meeting with the IAEA Chairman prior to May 2002, and they indicated to me that they do not recall any such meeting of IAEA chairman and Saddam prior to May 2002.
What is also important is that President Bush in a speech dated October 7 2002 mentioned that Saddam has held numerous meetings with his nuclear Scientists and I quote from President Bush “The evidence indicates that Iraq is reconstituting its nuclear weapons program. Saddam Hussein has held numerous meetings with Iraqi nuclear scientists, a group he calls his "nuclear mujahideen" -- his nuclear holy warriors” (see: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/10/20021007-8.html ).
So this document shows that it is true that in 2002 Saddam still has an active nuclear program if he still has a Chairman of the Atomic Energy Group and a group of Nuclear Scientists.

Why is it so hard for the MSM to see the plausibility that Iraq would continue it's nuclear R+D in any way during the sanctions/inspections when you look across the border to Iran and see that similar "meetings" with their own nuclear group happen almost constantly.
The Iraqis never uttered a truthful word during the Saddam regime's 30+ years but their notes on this matter are believable due to common sense.
They can't spin as fast as you can uncover the truth...

Great work. At the risk of being presumptuous, do keep an eye out for anything that shows cooperation with Quadaffi and Libya in this regard. I think Saddam outsourced the programs and when Quadaffi fessed up, it wasn't really his. Godspeed....

I agree with your outsourced angle. I too have thought for a long time that the axis of evil meant something other than it has been portrayed.
A nuclear warhead(s) created in Libya by Saddam's scientists aided by A Q kahn and others in Pakistan. Financed by various Saudi,Iranian and Iraqi groups inside and outside their governments. This (these) warheads were to be mated with missile(s) created in Iran with technological aid from DPRK (russia and china by proxy at the least).
When both programs combined their capabilities then the finished product(s) were to be deployed to hezb allah controlled Syria and or Lebanon.
I think this was their (axis of evil arming to threaten the peace) plan to deliver a nuclear strike on Israel while being able to claim no state actor was responsible. The rational being that they could attack without a nuclear response.
Many have called me crazy for this line of thinking but I think it is possible and will even be so bold as to call it probable.

Hans never found evidence of such a nuclear program so it never existed...ha-ha! However, I actually think Hans had a personal interest in failing to find anything as Chief Weapons Inspector "clue-less". Probably was bought off...therefore jail to the chief!

Very impressive analysis! I had thought in terms of Saddam seeking sheer power for himself, but this is very possible. Saddam's tilt to sharing power (perhaps as a result of his Gulf War defeat) is even more probable in light of his now exposed dealings with bin Laden and AQ.

Saddam's wishes to see the USA pay a price for ousting him from Kuwait overshadowed any differences he had with anyone. HE would align himself with the devil himself if it brought harm to his number one enemy.
Placing a mosaic of Bush 41 at the entrance of a hotel(?) shows how deep his hatred ran, not to mention to what level he would sink in order to inflict what he saw as punishment. Disrespect is a huge punishment among muslims from what I understand.
I have no doubt that Saddam was allied with Al Qaeda and other terrorist entities. I have no doubt that he saw oil for food kickbacks go to support jihad against the great satan. I have no doubt that Saddam was seeking to embelish his military programs including those consisting of WMD.
The part I find the most hilarious is that had Saddam took his loss in 1991 like a man and bellied up to what was demanded of him at that time, he could have complied in the short term knowing all along that as soon as the green light did come (as a result of all his compliance) he could have began again on his quest to be the thousand year muslim and there would have been no UN outstanding issues to use as a call for war as a result of diplomatic failure.
Saddam bet the farm on stalling out the process and he lost. Maybe someday the leftists will see where that tactic leads.
Of course Saddam was trying to acquire nuclear weapons. That's the main reason why we invaded Iraq. Anyone who knows anything at all about US national security knows this.
