Iran Military war games: "We have very important news... in the next few days."
- Reuters reported that Iran test fired a new torpedo in the Strait of Hormuz that they claim are "capable of destroying enemy warships and submarines at any depth and moving at any speed." They added: "We are going to have very important news that will make our nation proud in the next few days."
- The Financial Times reported that Iran’s announcement that it had tested a new torpedo in the Persian Gulf is driving up oil prices.
- ABC News reported that Richard Clarke said: "The missile test may backfire. Iran is claiming that missile has multiple warheads...the only reason for having multiple warheads is if you have nuclear weapons."
- The New York Times reported on Iran's space program and its application to ballistic missile development.
- Reuters reported that Iran said it would test fire more missiles as part of a week of war games in the Gulf.
McCain: crisis with Iran headed towards "Armageddon?"
- NewsMax reported that Senator John McCain said a military conflict with Iran over that country's nuclear program could lead to "Armageddon."
Bolton: The US is seeking a peaceful settlement with Iran.
- Xinhua reported that U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton, dismissed allegations that Washington would solve the Iran nuclear issue by force, saying that his country was seeking a peaceful settlement.
- Iran Focus reported that some 400 people were arrested in the Iranian capital on the final day of the Persian New Year.
- The Australian reported that the Iranian regime arrested seven men posing as the national wrestling team seeking to flee the country.

- RIA Novosti reported that the chief of Russia's General Staff said he could neither confirm nor deny reports that Ukraine had sold 250 nuclear warheads to Iran.
- Bill Samii, Radio Free Europe reported that no matter what comes from the US/Iran talks on Iraq, Iran's "soft power," to influence Iraqi affairs seems likely to continue.
- The Telegraph reported that the US Congress claimed that Swiss bank UBS helped finance the Mullahs' nuclear ambitions in breach of US sanctions.

All too soon will be the breaking news of their first test of a nuclear weapon.... my bet is before the end of 2007 or possibly yet this year.
Several weeks ago, one of the Iranian Mullahs or President Admadinghyjad has said that April 8th would be the day the "scientists would deliver"...or something to that effect.
Regime Change Iran is overloaded and hard to access.
Here's a part of the transmission I managed thru Google news links:
"demonstrations are raging on in the city of Mahabad in [northwestern Iran]. Two more Iranian soldiers have been reported killed by demonstrators."
---- martial law has been declared in No.Western Iran against Kurdish Tribes people and other resistance is said to be also occuring elsewhere.
Wow. Either that means the Iranian government is installing Marshall Law before going into war mode or that the Iranian people have dramatically increased their revolting against the Mullahs.
I believe you are correct. Tehran's brazen jihadist leadership will most likely boast they now have the capabilities to strike all E.U. and worse, the majority of American cities on the East Coast.
All we can do is wait, and thank Jimmy Carter for allowing this clear and present danger beginning in the first place along with Putin's Russia for ongoing "technical assistance" and deadly offensive arms shipments to Iran which are targeting U.S. Navy ships in the Gulf, the vast oil & natural gas fields coupled with the country Ahmadinejad swore to "wipe off the map", Israel. We shall soon witness just whom is going to "wiped off the map".
These are much more then military exercises. They are demonstrating to the world their military capability. Granted much of it is hyped up, but some of it causes concern. They are not calling these exercises the 'Great Prophet' for nothing.
These are some links on the Shahab 5, the newer Shahab-6 IRSL-X-4 & other missiles in Iran's rapidly expanding arsenal for 'near' future, nuclear global terrorism, thanks to Putin's Russia, Red China, N. Korea, Pakistan and scores of others devious individuals willing to sell out to the highest bidder.
If this kind of deliberate tension continues, the month of May could prove a volatile one.
