Having lurked through the recent vitriole on evolution, intelligent design, etc., I'm just submitting a little humor on the subject (and, yes, it is just a little humor).

You're telling me that God placed man's testicles in a vulnerable position on the outside of his body. Now, is that really intelligent design?
To: opinionator
It is if God's a woman. :)

I think I agree with that belligerent design theory.

In my experience, it's rock-hard fact.

If we were intelligently designed, our noses wouldn't be directly positioned over our mouths so that, should a runny nose develop, snot would inevitably drip down into our mouths.

Probably one of the better evolution/intelligent design threads I've seen to date.

The first "pro-evolution" cartoon sums up pro-evos fairly well. Only in an imaginary world where orangutans talk to each other about us and our "intelligence" can evolution make sense.

Regardless of which side you're on, you must agree that those creationist cartoons are the lamest, most tiresome, unfunny cartoons EVER. Why is that?
I think it's because creationists' task is to defend religious dogma, so they don't dare deviate from accepted doctrine. But evolutionists' task is simply to develop a better understanding of the truth, so we have much more freedom to play with what we believe to be the true history. We know that the search for truth is a journey, and as long as we have that goal in mind, there's no risk of eternal damnation, etc. if we make a mistake. IOW, there's not nearly the intensity of moral risk involved.
(I'm just brainstorming here. :-)

Take a deep breath and relax Jen. They're only cartoons...which, contrary to your demand, I found quite funny.
