I uninstall Norton on ALL my customers' computers, and install AVG free. People are always so surprised when I tell them that Norton is causing most of their problems.

Tell me about it. That still doesn't stop the goombas from the ITS dept. from trying to install it on my office computer everytime they do any work on it.

Bleh, been drinking tonight.. almost posted a long rant about how ITS is screwing up my life this week =P

I'll have to give it a try. I'm using Norton, it does seem to slow things down. I also hate the renewal fee. You'd think they'd make it cheaper to renew over the internet. I've always gone to CompUSA, bought the update and saved $. Makes no sense, must really reduce profits.

McAfee was even worse. That came with one of my PCs and really bogged things down.
