Good point!
I always believed Saddam was up to his eyeballs in WMD production. Of course living here in Vermont I have to defend that position everyday. Thanks for the clarification.

Another great job.
Send that great Clintoonian General Zinni a copy of this and ask him why he is now lying about what he said during the Clintoonian presidency.

No problem. I do not know if the ISG thought about the same thing, i.e. why does Saddam need 50,000 81 mm caliber Howitzer?!

I am missing something here. Why isn't this a request for rocket tubes?

Timely translation by jveritas.
How would Zinni spin and lie about this?

but if you combine the tubes, 500 tons of uranium at Tuwaitha, Mahdi Obeidi's book The Bomb in my Garden, and A.Q. Khan's proliferation of nuclear know-how across the Middle East, it's a short trip to realization. Unless you are Barbara Boxer, Dick Turdbin, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, Russ Feingold, Hillary Clinton, Leaky Leahy, Joe Biden, Joe Wilson, Richard Clarke, Wesley Clark, Kos, Babs Streisand, Arrianna Huffington, Al Franken, Randi Rhodes, Chris Matthews, Dana Priest, Dana Milbanks, Katie Couric, etc. etc.
And if you are the ilk of the above mentioned socialist liberals, you don't have the sense that God gave a goat anyway.

The letter states the inner diameter is 74.4mm. Is that still suitable for 81 mm rockets?

I will try and find the name of that show. It was SO informative. Musharef of Pakistan forced AQ Kahn to apologize to the nation for his underground Nuclear workshop and distribution when Pakistan didn't want other nations to have the bomb or the technology. Iran specifically benefited from AQ Kahn and in the documentary, they show how Kahns smaller tubes for the enrichment process enables them to be hidden much easier. Such as the underground Iranian facilities we hear about.

Do you know what is the percentage of the Iraqi ammunition inspected by the Iraqi Survey Group to check for WMD?
Answer: Less than one quarter on one percent.
Do you know how many ammunitions depots the ISG surveyed?
Answer: 11
Do you know from those 11 ammunition depots how many of them did they really inspect for WMD?
Answer: 2.
Sounds incredible to make a final report based on the above, but they did exactly that!

Exactly. If Germany was not working with Saddam Regime why did the Iraqi even bother to think of buying these tubes from them.

I think it was the huge number of tubes that rose the suspicion first in 2002 that the tubes were going to be used for Uranium Enrichment purposes.

I hate to be the wet blanket but NONE OF THIS STUFF MATTERS TO LEFTIES!!!
Nothing short of a picture of Saddam making out with Bin Laden with 100 A-Bombs in the background will make them say Bush was right. Even that they would ignore if some dingbat like Joe Wilson told them to.
