So gay rights, transgender rights, and so on -- all of which are the Left's latest cherished "individualisms" -- are now racist? I love it when the Left tries to take on individualism. They always wind up refuting half their other causes.

bump. very serious. Once the marxists have destroyed the existing order, what do they think will take its place, and what will that look like? Or have they looked that far ahead.

I have sent this to John Carlson and Bryan Suits two days ago but they haven't responded. I sent it to Drudge today. I would send it to Savage, but I can't find his email anywhere on his website.

Or have they looked that far ahead.

And taken on a "future orientation"? Brother Jason, please report to the nearest re-education center in an orderly manner. If you help us, we can help you.

And so it goes...

I suspect that it means something far more sinister.

"future time orientation" aka you're going to be a homosexual when you grow up. If we decipher the code speak that the Lefties use, future time for children is adulthood.
Orientation...we all know what that means these days.

Why doesn't just one white person file a civil rights suit?
Why do these Communists in the Gulag school system get away with this?

There I go planning my forthcoming day again when I wake up -- what a racist I am!

What saddens me isn't the ugliness or the meanness of this, but the ignorance. Racism is by definition a form of collectivism: "I'm superior because I belong to this race; you're inferior because you belong to that race." In racist ideology, the merit of a person derives from his group, and not from his individual qualities.

These imbeciles have turned that defining characteristic on its head.

Cultural Racism: Those aspects of society that...attribute value and normality to white people and Whiteness, and devalue, stereotype, and label people of color as “other”, different, less than, or render them invisible. Examples...include defining white skin tones as nude or flesh colored, having a future time orientation, emphasizing individualism as opposed to a more collective ideology, defining one form of English as standard, and identifying only Whites as great writers or composers.

Believing that Western Civilization (which supports these marxists) is superior to a primitive, violent, illiterate tribe is "cultural racism."

I'm a cultural "racist," I guess, and so is most of the world (which is mainly "people of color")--they all want to live here, after all.

I really don't understand why the media refuses to pick up on this. When they finally do, it should not be enough for the Seattle Schools to just remove the page from their website. There should be a full-on purge for their open embrace of racism. This is beyond outrageous. This is sickening.

I really don't understand why the media refuses to pick up on this.

The media has accepted the dominant prejudices of Academia for most of the past Century. And the dominant prejudice in Academia, at least since World War II, has been to deny the importance of race and ethnicity, and embrace both a cultural relativism and an environmental explanation for culture.

That said, however, the passages quoted in the article at the top of this thread, shows a deliberate ideologically driven hand at work. The committee which adopted the language may or may not have been the source, but the actual source, whoever that might be, understood the importance of race and heredity, even while denying it. The major observable personality differences between European Caucasian peoples and Negroid peoples goes to an individual/collective dichotomy. This may be observed both in studies of integrated neighborhoods in America; in voting patterns; in rhetorical flights; in housing patterns in Africa; even in Hillary Clinton's book, "It Takes A Village," based on an African Proverb.

The original drafter of the statement is deliberately trying to undermine the willingness of people in the Caucasian American mainstream to still stand up for the very individualist values of the Founding Fathers, for fear of being labelled "racist."

Yes, the statement quoted above is outrageous. But understand the emboldened mindset that led to it. The far Left is closing in for what they hope will be the death of the West, as we have known it. By our insights and determination--or lack of them--in the face of this sort of onslaught, the issue will be determined. Those who remember Clinton's taunting last State of the Union Address will realize how late is the hour.

The alternative to this deliberate aspersion against traditional values, of course, is a frank discussion of what motivates what sort of political ideology--not by aspersing people whose natural bent is in a certain direction--but in understanding that the roots of orientation may be much deeper than a shallow Academia, embracing the mantra of an unproven human "oneness," is willing to admit.

The website invites comments at the following address:

Here's what I wrote:

Frankly, this is pure racist propaganda being pushed on children in the public schools at taxpayer expense. The total demonization of an entire race of people as oppressors merely on account of the color of their skin, or their preferring grammatical English, or their "future time orientation" (!!!!!) is offensive, insulting and sickening. I love how "Whites" are not just a racial group, but an "agent racial group" -- how much more sinister sounding! And to define racism from the start as something that only whites can feel with regard to other eternal "victim" groups merely perpetuates racial problems in this society and does nothing to solve them. And of course, the color of one's skin apparently dictates how one views individualism or collectivism. Sheesh -- talk about racist presumptions! How about doing something that will further all members of society, regardless of race, like teaching some universal values such as the need for individuals to take responsibiliity for themselves and not always blame some racial Boogeyman and nursing perpetual grievances about one's "victim" status?

"Not to mention "having a future time orientation." That means that it is racist to expect people to plan for their futures? To go to school and do well so that they can support their future families? It is racist to condemn people who spend everything they make as soon as they make it and then when there is an emergency expect someone else to bail them out?"

This crap is straight out of the Russian revolution. They want to control the language so they can control how people think. You want to change the way people think change the language. Those that don't change can be dealt with as eneimes of the state and shuffled of to a psych ward or prison. Hell, our own government uses this approach (willing workers with willing employers).
