There are a lot of minorities in the Seattle Public Schools - I'd be surprised if the total minority enrollment is less than 20%, and it might be much higher.

I would hate for Seattle students to learn the "standard" form of English. Why should they be limited to one form that relies on rules for spelling, grammar, and phrasing? Shouldn't language students, much like their math, physics, and chemistry counterparts, be allowed to use whatever they deem worthy to convey their message? (/sarc)

I just learned that my wife is a racist - she got a pair of flesh-colored stockings from J. C. Penneys.
