Rather -- Can Iran handle getting its entire gasoline supply shut off by an embargo by the west???
Iran has quite the treasure chest of funds, so they could 'put up' with the loss of income.
But as others pointed out... it wouldn't be long before they starves themselves of refined product. I don't think the locals would take well to that.
Let's see...Drill ANWR; Canadian and Wyoming oil shale; yah, probably.
Can we handle not having Iran to tell us what to do...? Yah, I think so. Who do these people think they ARE?? I'm sorry, but having the Iranian mullahs tell us how they think the USA should conduct its business gives me heartburn AND diarrhea. Good grief. Time for a reality check somewhere.
what are you talking about?
Iran could buy and import gasoline from almost anybody?
is the West going to blockade?
Iran was already refining a little oil into gasoline but not enough. A few months ago, a program was started for more refining. I don't know how far along that is, yet. Almost all of the business in Iran is owned by the government there.
