For a long time, Viola appeared on Larry's show on Friday. I met her at a meetings of the mouths KABC event last year. Larry called her "The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court."

She was a treasure. I was in studio with Larry in about 1996 to do a Clinton-bashing show. At the breaks, he would call her on the phone to get advice and share ideas about the show.

Larry called her "The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court."Those were among my favorite segments on Larry's show, especially her movie reviews. She will definitely be missed.

She and her husband did quite a job instilling values in their son, didn't they?

Oh, I just got a phone call friend who told me this. How sad. and shocking, I didn't even know she was ill. Is there a place to send a card or condolences to Larry?

It must have been pretty sudden. She was doing her Friday "Chief Justice" call-in segments as late as last week, or perhaps the week before.
A sweet lady who raised a good man in an increasingly bad area -- against long odds.

She was out shopping and just collapsed, probably dead before she hit the floor. She was 90 years old. I don't know how old Larry's mom was, but I'll bet she was up in that age range as well.

Just by hearing her short segments on Larry's show, I had developed a love and respect for the dignified lady. Larry was obviously proud of her, and they seemed to have a wonderful mother-son relationship. So honest and caring.
May she rest in peace, and may Larry accept that she has gone on her reward which is in Heaven.
