D.C. Chapter's July 4 White House FReep
July 08,2006 | trooprally

Posted on 07/08/2006 9:08:48 AM PDT by trooprally

Just a quick wrap up of the July 4th FReep in front of the White House. This AAR is a little late since the D.C. Chapter had a full July 4th Holiday of FReeps.

First was at Walter Reed

Then at Olney,MD with Doctor Raoul making his second consecutive appearance.

Then on Monday, July 3 at the New York Times in D.C.

And finally exclusive pics of the FReep at the White House.

But before I get to that, some other great Reports by non-FReepers that you may not have linked to.

Charles Rider of Age of Hooper has a video of Code Pink in D.C. Later in the day, Code Pink surrounded a group of teenage tourists to D.C. and began singing their buthched version of God Bless America. The teenagers didn't like what they heard and sang the correct version, drowning out CP and sending them packing. To view video, (NOTE: Mute first video since they run at same time) scroll down to UPDATE.

Michelle Malkin has pic of the green shirted teens. To view pic, scroll down to July 4 NO HOTDOGS FOR CINDY.

And tgslTakoma found this VIDEO of Code Pink busting into a July 4th Parade in D.C. honoring the birth of the USA and our troops. So much for the pinkos faux support of our troops.

The D.C. Chapter had their own little Support the Troops and Their Mission Rally.

We, Kristinn, 3DJoy, Just A Nobody (JUSTA), Cindy_True_Supporterspent (CTS), [Mrs] & [Mr] Trooprally and new FReeper IrwinvilleConservative (IC) arrived about 10AM. We stayed till 1PM. We left early because Code Pink's demonstaration was . pretty lame and it was very hot out. 3DJoy was able to get under some shade on the sidewalk but since Code Pink had a permit for the sidewalk, the police kept the rest of us off it.

IrwinvilleConservative just moved to the D.C. area and came down to the White House hoping to find other like minded people as himself. He did and joined FR the next day. WELCOME IrwinvilleConservative.

What was really good about being at the White House on the 4th was that there were a boat load of military members and their families. We were constantly having them come up to us and thank us. Some even argued with the pinkos that drifted over to our crowd. One soldier personally gave me his unit's 'coin'. He apparently was a First Sergeant (insignia on coin) from the 2 BN, 7th Inf. Regiment.

We also had numerous tourists come up to us and Thanks us for being their.

All the following pics are by [Mrs] Trooprally. We've posted some of the pics that go well with text. For all of [Mrs] T's pics, see WEBSHOTS>

BELOW: Tourists wanting to have their pics taken with us.

BELOW LEFT: Kristinn, CTS, [Mr] T. BELOW RIGHT: Justa and CTS taking a breather from the heat. They sat on the White House wall away from us so the police wouldn't kick them off the walk.

BELOW LEFT: 3DJoy. BELOW RIGHT: IrwinvilleConservative

BELOW: [Mr] T talking to group of young adults. I actually had an intelligent discussion with them for about 30 minutes. They apparently came to the demonstration with serious questions about the WOT after being fed the pinkos propaganda. They asked inquisitive questions and sounded like they really didn't know both sides. I stressed that they listen to both sides of the story.

BELOW: Early pic of Pinkos, and more gathering like flies to s##t.

BELOW: CTS talking to "Pinko". Turns out that this person is a homeless person who was recruited for Code Pink's demonstration. She had absolutely no idea what the buttons on her blouse meant. After accepting some Oreo cookies, she returned them after getting a nasty glare from Code Pink's handlers.

The Oreo cookies were part of the harassment of Code Pink. Justa and 3DJoy brought some cookies and popcorn. When the pinkos were gathering in front of the White House fence, we yelled "Free Oreos" and the great yell "Free range popcorn". The tourists rolled with laughter at that one.

BELOW: The pinkos wore pink crowns and carried pink umbrellas. Silliest thing I've seen in a while. But even sillier was a guy dressed in pink with a large size pink umbrella exactly like the ones put in bar drinks. What an idiot!

BELOW LEFT: This Pinko came up to us and started the argument with "Her husband is a Marine" then started to spit out antitroop talking points. After some back and forth with her just mouthing the standard "Bush lied", she left. BELOW RIGHT: Code Pink (in background) on way to disrupt the parade. That's Squeegie Guy from Walter Reed prancing around like the chicken he is. Kristinn got him all riled up today. So much so that he was yelling something about paying taxes and one time having a security clearance when working for Uncle Sam. Who knows.

Sounds like the pics aren't showing up for several people. Not sure why or how to fix it. Even [Mrs] T's computer isn't showing anything but mine is. Go figure.

The Preview showed the pics when I was working on the thread. and before I posted them.

If anyone has any ideas, please let me know.

Blue question marks for me. There will be one more AAR of the 4th weekend, which will be up later tonight, of FReepers at the Indian Embassy and the White House against Raging Grannies, Code Pink, Cindy Sheehan, Dick Gregory and Daniel Ellsburg on July 3, after the New York Times FReep. I will explain the kids singing, etc from the point of view of those of us who were there. Thanks for the preview!

Hope you can repost your pix. Try uploading the ones for the article onto another server like Tinypic and then show them in the thread. Just a thought...

Right on! I was in the 3-7th INF at Ft. Stewart, GA! The 2nd and 3rd Battalions of the 7th Infantry Regiment are part of the 3rd Infantry Division based there. I left the Army in May 2000 and I was honored to serve in such a distinguished organization. A civilian being given a Battalion Coin by a senior NCO of the unit is a tremendous honor and I'm sure you'll cherish it forever. Congratulations!!

3rd Infantry Division "Rock of the Marne!"

2-7 INF "Cottonbalers, by God. Damn fine soldiers!"

Thank you.

Looks like you are a cat person. You and Landry Fan from the Walter Reed FReeps aught to get together. She has one named Gipper. Forgot the other, sorry LF.

We had Basil from Texas at the Walter Reed FReep Friday.

And CindyDawg was real helpful when Cindy_True_Supporter's son was recently in a severe accident in Texas. CindyDawg went out of her way to visit the hospital, twice, and deliver the FReeper Prayer Thread to someone she did not know. It had over a 1000 posts from well wishers.

So our hats are off to the Texas FReepers. Thank You All.

Last time I work with pics off Webshots. The kicker is that the "PREVIEW" showed the pics. Never had any trouble with photobucket. I didn't expect to write the Report so I went with webshots. Next time I'll have [Mrs] T repost them on photobucket.

Good luck Monday at the NYT. Doctor Raoul couldn't make it to Olney today so we couldn't get the D.C. chapter's posters to you.

Kristinn and the others dealt with the real moonbats.

Thank you for your service. We are out there for you and all former and current troops (Except Murtha & Kerry).

I learned of the coins and their importance from our son, a Marine staff Sergeant, and my brother, retired Marine colonel, over the years. I was surprised to receive it, and now that I have it, I'll cherish it.

I assume I received it because I proudly wear a Marine cap to the FReeps.

Angelwood--- you will be happy to hear that that silly painting that Hillary had in one of the rooms is gone!

That is good news. It was by a famous SW lesbo painter and was totally out of character for the room. Proving once again that the only taste Hitlery has is in her mouth.

It must have been wonderful to go on a tour of the White House again -- and see that Hillary's "silly painting" is GONE! I suspect that Laura Bush's quiet elegance and tasteful suggestions have transformed the First Residence since the Clinton era.

Hope you had a great 4th of July and that the Flag Balloon is still flying high!
