Strategically, it makes sense to eliminate Syria first before Iran.

I don't care what the order is, let's just get started doing it and stop playing around.

Russia and China will quickly position themselves on the winning side to protect their assets and market; and the Wahhabi Master Race will be heard from no more for a least the next 200 years.

Yeah, right. It's always that easy.

Excellent! It is inevitable now that Israel will take care of Syria.

For whatever its reasons, Iran has been trying to provoke an attack against itself for over six months now. It seem the only thing they aren't willing to do is attack unilaterally.

One wonders if they may have prepositioned 1-2 nukes (perhaps here in the USA as well?) and are waiting to be attacked with conventional weapons so they can retaliate in "self defense", perhaps even via proxies. If so, they may indeed be too fanatical to realize that, instead of becoming the lions of the Middle East, they will be reduced to a smoking wreck in a cataclysm that even Dante couldn't have dreamed.

He feels he will be glorified by God if he gets rid of a shitload of infidels and if he dies doing it, that's even better!

He does not want to personally die and will do everything he has to in order to save his rear end.

These people have a cultic belief system that glorifies suicide and death as a vehicle to many accolades in the afterlife. It is illogical as far as we are concerned, but to them, it's perfectly logical to commit suicide and kill a huge group of innocent people in the process. Keep in mind that the enemy has a belief system that is so off-the-wall that women with 4 or 5 little children are signing up to be suicide bombers. I don't put anything past them as they do not adhere to our type of "logic".

Notice how none of the leaders sign up for martyrdom. It is always some silly, stupid, brainwashed, young boy or poor woman. None of the leaders really believe they are promised anything for a martyr's death in the afterlife. Otherwise they would lead the way. Don't fall for the bluster. They are cowards.

And I hope we are closely coordinating to do our part of the job when the time comes.

bert: The lebaneese Army will operate jointly with the IDF in the operation. Their role might be minor, but they have been invited into the fray by Saudi Arabia. The Saudi voice that is seldom heard spoke out loud and denounced Hezbollah.
The Saudis have denounced Hizbollah because it is Shiite-based and a proxy for the Iranian mullahcracy. That is all. The Saudis want Israel out of Lebanon and Gaza *now*, and AFAIK haven't said anything about the alleged army of Lebanon fighting alongside Israel. The Lebanese PM has demanded a ceasefire, and has backed off his criticism of Hizbollah, no doubt under a quietly delivered death threat.
MrEdd: A big problem is that the head of this snake is in Saudi Arabia...
Saudi Arabia is indeed a nest of vipers, and pays for terrorism all over the world. It is trying to build a Saudi-dominated theocracy in various countries (including this one, but that's a long term goal). But Iran has a similar plan -- an Iranian Shiia-dominated theocracy in various countries -- and Hizbollah is a creature of Iran.
bert: You are incorrect. The Saudi's have denounced Hezbollah and given the greenlight for Isreal to destroy it. They speak for all the GCC who desire a stable and strong economic region.
You are incorrect. The Saudis want to destroy Israel, and have not given Israel any green light (nor does Israel need one from the 3000 corrupt princes, or care what they think). The only reason the Saudis have denounced Hizbollah is that Iran runs it. Period.
Fitzcarraldo: Basically Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan and others don't want to become vassal states of Iran. Hezbollah is clearly an Iranian puppet.
I agree -- although there are always Egyptians, Saudis, and Jordanians who would agree with the aims of Iran. Saudi Arabia is in a bad box right now, and my view is that an SA civil war is not too far off. That is part of the evil plan of Karl Rove of course. The Saudis do not want Iran to have the Bomb, and do not want them to succeed in Iraq. The Saudis also don't want the US to succeed in Iraq. But the Saudis have steadily lost ground in Iraq, and in the other Gulf States -- not to mention Afghanistan.

Nope. This is about the complete annihilation of Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Given that Hezbollah does not wear uniforms, to accomplish that they would have to kill every adult male south of Beirut.

Then again, perhaps the Carthage option would be productive

We may be forced to kick some ass and take the gas!
That would have been a much more satisfactory approach to 9/11 -- nuke 'em, plant the Flag, and let Europe and China know that the price of crude is going up.

Israel gave Syria 72 hours to stop Hizbullah’s activity

Syria has not capacity to stop Hezbollah’s activity. No more than USA troops have capacity to stop Iraqi insurgents or Israel to stop Hamas activity.

And after Syria was forced out from Lebanon such "capacity" was reduced to zero.

Syria still has significant presence in Lebanon, although perhaps more under the radar than previously.

I join those here who opine that the target is Hezbollah. I dont think Syria will be attacked by Israel. Certainly not Iran.
