As FReeper The Spirit Of Allegiance posted on the other thread: There is a LOT to see, so if you can, arrive between 10 and noon for a head start. Jim & Crew will probably arrive about noon and we'll have lunch, then most of us will tour as a group in the afternoon. Jim Robinson and a bunch of southern California FReepers are going to the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum in Simi Valley -- on Saturday July 22!
Come join us!
At NOON, find the tables near the Berlin Wall display--there are tables where we can picnic. Bring Your Own--or bring enough to share! There is covered seating for 100, 1st come 1st served.
Make a crazy FR Badge or nametag! Bring cameras! Bring sunscreen and water. And...you might bring some American flags and signs in case we find a FReeping opportunity, ya never know....
Dinner will be off-site, location to be announced later.
"RSVP" by bumping this thread!
CARPOOLS, ANYONE?
We've got people coming from Fresno, San Diego, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles---so if you want to carpool from one of these main areas, mention the general area you are coming from and your interest in carpooling, then work out the details by FREEPMAILing.
The trip from Simi to here Washington will be brutal. It is about a 19-hour drive. Breakfast will be a little late.
Don't forget some pics;-)
I couldn't stay for the whole afternoon, but I enjoyed seeing some of the faces behind the screen names.
I drove from Redmond,WA to Irvine,CA in 20 hrs. Beat My Time!
Hi! Wanted to go up with y'all. Church was setting up for VBS Saturday. Took longer than expected due to some power outages, etc. Hope it was a wonderful time for everyone, even in the heat.
Sigh! I missed this! How cudda I? Sorry I could not come, it would have been great fun!
Give ' em hell!
Where are the pics?
