As FReeper The Spirit Of Allegiance posted on the other thread: There is a LOT to see, so if you can, arrive between 10 and noon for a head start. Jim & Crew will probably arrive about noon and we'll have lunch, then most of us will tour as a group in the afternoon. Jim Robinson and a bunch of southern California FReepers are going to the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum in Simi Valley -- on Saturday July 22!
Come join us!
At NOON, find the tables near the Berlin Wall display--there are tables where we can picnic. Bring Your Own--or bring enough to share! There is covered seating for 100, 1st come 1st served.
Make a crazy FR Badge or nametag! Bring cameras! Bring sunscreen and water. And...you might bring some American flags and signs in case we find a FReeping opportunity, ya never know....
Dinner will be off-site, location to be announced later.
"RSVP" by bumping this thread!
CARPOOLS, ANYONE?
We've got people coming from Fresno, San Diego, the Inland Empire, Los Angeles---so if you want to carpool from one of these main areas, mention the general area you are coming from and your interest in carpooling, then work out the details by FREEPMAILing.
L.A. Chapter joins JIM ROBINSON at the REAGAN LIBRARY!
SATURDAY, July 22Lunch - there is a Cafe as well as the picnic area outside.
Buy what you want and bring it out by the Berlin Wall if you don't want to pack a lunch.
There is outside seating for 100 under the building eaves by the Berlin Wall display. There is also indoor seating in the Cafe but we will meet as a group at Noon, OUTside.
Dinner location will be announced at the Library, or POSSIBLY posted later on this thread -- nearby, informal dining.
Attire: Maybe something Patriotic
Name Tags: Freeper Screennames would also be good. If you have a stack of nametags and a Sharpie pen, bring them.
Bring Flags! We might find a use for them at a nearby location, who knows?
Ventura County and Santa Barbara County Ping!
Come by and pay your respects to Ronald Reagan and say hi to Jim and the LA Freepers! It is a beautiful library.
Wish I could be there. Hope y'all have a great day.
Wish I could be there, too!
Have a blast.

Next time, Okay? :)
Thank you for the ping!
It was very nice of you, I do appreciate it.
37 minutes to go and in Simi Valley it is . . . .
HOT
Currently 109.8 degrees in Simi Valley.
Does anyone in the Burlington, WA area want to join Doug from Upland for pizza on Sunday evening? Mrs. DFU would not let me change our vacation plans so I could go FReep the Reagan Library.
I just passed the word along to the Freepers here in Simi that they are welcome to join you for breakfast tomorrow.
FYI - The group has just met for dinner and it turned out that the local college Republicans had a reservation for 40 at the same time so the two groups have combined and packed out the restaurant!
