The Pseudoscientific Gospel According to Al Gore
ChronWatch ^ | 26 July 2006 | J. B. Williams

Let me begin by stating for the record that I am not a scientist. I have not spent my life researching Planetary Climatology, and I really don’t have any personal insight into the mysteries of the earth’s climate cycles or even any personal opinion about the pseudoscientific claims in Al Gore’s Gospel of Doom, based on his politically motivated global warming via capitalist-pig doctrine.

Of course, this makes me just as qualified to speak on the subject as Al Gore, who also is not a scientist or one who is any more in touch with earth’s many mysteries than the rest of us. Those who still believe that Al invented the Internet still bow at his feet. But as a fellow Tennessean who lives only miles from his alleged Tennessee home (where he never lives), I see him as most Tennesseans do, which is as an idiot prepared to say anything to win political power. Need I remind you that those of us who know him best, his neighbors, voted for Bush in 2000?

I am, however, fast becoming an expert student in the art of politically fashionable fear-mongering, a pseudoscience of sorts itself. Al Gore, the self-appointed Carl Sagan of modern pseudoscience, certainly the Dali-Lama of politically fashionable fear-mongering, is my professor extraordinaire--and he has a very loyal subject pool, all equally politically motivated, of course.

His global warming gospel, An Inconvenient Truth, which seems to be an outright lie, is intended to drive uneducated federal dependents to the Democratic side of the ballot at election time more out of fear than out of any Democratic ability to guide America in a positive pro-American direction. This survival vote is epitomized by the words of another self-described political genius, P-Diddy, who recently stated, “vote for us or die!”

“He lied to us,” “He betrayed this country,” “He played on our fears,” said Al Gore of George W. Bush, who simply suggested that the Hussein regime in Iraq posed a “gathering threat” to national and international security, an undeniable fact and a bi-partisan opinion shared by most. Of course, Al Gore also said: “We know that he [Hussein] has stored secret supplies of biological and chemical weapons throughout his country…If you get someone like Saddam Hussein to get nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles, chemical weapons, biological weapons, how many people is he going to kill with such weapons?” These statements prove not only that a lie is in the eye of the beholder, but also that everything depends on who the political benefactor might be.

Now Al seeks to play on our fears with a brand new set of lies. This observation is not made according to me, but rather according to real scientists. Mr. Richard S. Lindzen is the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Atmospheric Science at MIT. Lindzen and many of his fellow scientists warn us not to believe the hype, declare that Al Gore is wrong and affirm that there is no consensus on global warming. I would say that these are pretty strong statements for scientists.

Mr. Lindzen suggests in the linked article that, not only is there no consensus on the subject, there is not even any coherent ongoing debate on the topic among real scientists. That could be in part, because the global temperature change over the last 1000 years is only one degree, hardly a “cataclysmic event” demanding immediate attention. It could also be because for every scientist who believes we have a global warming crisis, there is another equally qualified scientist who believes we have a coming ice age crisis on the horizon.

In short, real scientists cannot establish that a) the earth is getting any warmer or colder to begin with, b) that any temporary shift in weather conditions or climate is anything other than natural event cycles or c) that any human behaviors in any way affect atmospheric conditions in any way.

So, why all the vote for us or die fear-mongering based on Al’s global warming via capitalist pigs doctrine? Have you read the comments of Dali Lama Al’s anti-capitalism/pro-socialism disciples? There is a common message among global warming theorists that has nothing to do with science, other than social science that is.

The real message in Al’s Gospel of Doom is that capitalism is ruining the world! Our greed (economic liberty) and our love of freedom (personal choice including what to drive) are killing the earth and. therefore, are akin to suicide. In other words, your SUV isn’t evil--but the fact that you desire nice things is evil, you selfish capitalist pig!

Of course, if liberals hooked on Al’s Kool-Aid ever stop drinking long enough to research how many liberal politicians own SUV’s, ride in gas guzzling limousines, fly by themselves in private jets because they don’t dare ride coach class with their angry constituents, and generally burn fossil fuels at a rate that would make every PETA member feel like kicking their cat, they might begin to second guess old professor Al.

On the other hand, if they were following Al for his brilliant scientific evaluations, they would already be following someone else. But, because they agree with the fundamental foundation of Al’s agenda, socialism instead of capitalism for America, they (like Al), are happy to use any scientific hocus pocus available to promote their real agenda, socialism for the greater good.

As for the rest of us, we’ll leave science to real scientists and American politics to real Americans, yes capitalists. After all, the record isn’t clear on global warming, but it sure is on capitalism versus socialism.

And liberals can’t figure out why Americans won’t vote for them.

Al Gore is a loser and will remain a loser.

No amount of horse shiite on global warming will ever change that.

"An Inconvenient Truth" is no longer running in my neck of the woods. I would consider watching it if the theater was air conditioned. I would sit there chomping popcorn and guzzling soda with no thought about the energy used to cool the auditorium. I would demand cool air conditioned comfort. If sweat beads form on my forehead from the temperature I am out of there.

Al Gore is truly, a very, mentally disturbed individual.

I would pay real money to get to watch a debate between goreghoul and Ichneumon ... professional evisceration is so lasting. Perhaps we could be rid of Al once and for all.

It's not just Al Gore, it's the entire Democrat party, and the loons on the left who support it that are mentaly disturbed.

The problem is MSM is part of that crowd, so there is no shortage of air time for crazy Al to preach his fear mongering garbage to all the gullable idiots in this country.
Add a heat wave and media further claiming "record breaking temperatures", which is also BS, and the gullable believe that Florida will be under water from a one degree global temperature chance. They are too stupid to realize that regardless if it is 50 degrees below zero at the north pole, or 49 below zero, the poles still will not melt.
They are also too stupid to realize that the poles were not always covered with ice, that the earth cycles between warmer periods and colder ones, and even if they did melt, the sea levels will not rize.

"Al Gore, who also is not a scientist "

Let's look at his academic qualifications (other than paying ghostwriters):

"The Washington Post's subsequent revelation of Gore's unimpressive academic record has done little to alter the media's false portrayal of Gore as "the smartest kid in the class." It is a record that is worth reviewing, if only to debunk the myth of Gore as a serious student.

Gore's undergraduate transcript from Harvard is riddled with C's, including a C-minus in introductory economics, a D in one science course, and a C-plus in another. "In his sophomore year at Harvard," the Post reported, "Gore's grades were lower than any semester recorded on Bush's transcript from Yale." Moreover, Gore's graduate school record - consistently glossed over by the press - is nothing short of shameful. In 1971, Gore enrolled in Vanderbilt Divinity School where, according to Bill Turque, author of "Inventing Al Gore," he received F's in five of the eight classes he took over the course of three semesters. Not surprisingly, Gore did not receive a degree from the divinity school.

Nor did Gore graduate from Vanderbilt Law School, where he enrolled for a brief time and received his fair share of C's."

Bush went on to earn an MBA from Harvard).

I remember in the 2000 campaign all the hype about what a towering intellect this guy was. Pretty funny, when you consider the facts. Pretty scary, when you consider he was almost president.

The headlines this weekend said that some places in California reached 115 degrees. Yeah, like Death Valley, which is in California, where 115 is considered a "cool" day.

The real message in Al’s Gospel of Doom is that capitalism is ruining the world!

Their chimera on capitalism won't hold. Liberals and socialists love capitalism. They market and traffic in humans, not manufactured products.

Watch a liberal open their mouth to assert that females are "oppressed" and watch their hands open to collect taxpayer dollars. Watch them open their mouths to say that this group of humans or that group of humans is being treated badly, and watch the dollars disappear in to the capitalistic mass marketing machine called "humanism".

Liberals hate capitalism? Hardly. They refuse to be honest about what they market. Any "victim". Any human whose story can get them elected to office, on the speaker's "list", head of tax-exempt orgs, tenured for life in colleges.

Liberals make huge dollars inside their capitalism gaming. They just are dishonest about how they go about acquiring wealth.

Who was it who said, We will use capitalism to destroy capitalism."?

Once upon a time it was pointed out to Hillary that the free enterprise system seemed to be part of human nature. Her reply, "I guess we will have to change human nature."

I don't know; but whomever did so should walk directly to Warren Buffett's corner for an asset suicide intervention.

Hillary, OTOH, is a control freak as nearly all feminist/socialists are. Control freakism (of others) is at the core of their ideology. I've been giving a lot of thought lately to the matter of Control Freakism, and why Liberals are "that way". It really is a form of bullying no matter what "shine" Liberals want to put on it. Problem? They are really quite out of "control", and so undisciplined in regards to themselves. Ah, yes... that's what they used to call "teachers": One who can't do, teaches.
