I have a link to Popular Mechanics debunking of the "9-11 was an inside job" Moore/Sheehan loonies. I will post it later.

I really don't feel/think that there is much of a need to even debate these kooks.

But there are people who WANT to believe these kinds of things, and one needs to have something evident and concrete, and not just shrug it off. I found some good stuff too to refute the case...item by item.

It makes them maddest when I tell the nutjobs that I don't respect them enough to listen to or debate their psychotic fantasies.

they're strictly the grease on the gear, or the gear on grease.....either way.....game plan is a loser.

Rant .....Off.

If people/kooks try to force this type of nonsense on me, anymore I don't even listen. If I feel inspired, I'll offer to sell them a bridge or some magic beans. Sometimes I warn them about the dangers of such conversation without the proper tinfoil hat.

If people as my thoughts on the matter, as a metallurgist, I will explain to them, from a scientific/engineering point of view, how this stuff is a heap of garbage.

From an engineering perspective, it is impressive the towers lasted so long in my opinion.

Regarding the war for oil crowd, I simply put it to them this way: 'Given what we know about the UN Oil for Food program, and the bribes that Saddam paid to UN officials to lift sanctions. If Bush were trying to solely enrich his 'oil buddies', wouldn't that be a much easier way to go about doing so? Especially given the possibility that a war could be used against him politically, not to mention the cost of it financially??'

If that doesn't register with them, they aren't worth my time.

I've seriously thought about starting an 'RNC Jar', into which I put money everytime they start harping their nonsense to me. During campaign season, it becomes an extra donation.

I figure I'll let them decide how much they directly want to donate to conservative candidates.

Thought about an 'NRA jar' too.

If breathing were voluntary, the majority of them would likely suffocate.

I always ask these nuts how the "explosives" survived the fire for so long, that usually shuts them up.

Rule one of dealing with delusional conspiracy nuts : You can't reason them out of their delusions.

Ignore them and move along.

That's a good idea and make sure tell them that you're doing it.

Here is a good site that debunks that "Loose Change" video that is popular with the 9/11 nutjobs.

Next time the war for oil crack-heads go off ask them if they think we are stealing the oil from the Iraqis? Or is it possible that we are actually buying it from them? The market dictates the price so who benefits- the Iraqis? or Bush's oil buddies?

Thats too logical for most liberals to grasp. Especially when the US was the country (obviously) serious about maintaining economic sanctions against Saddam.

I spoke to someone from Halliburton over the weekend, who said that they really aren't making much off the Iraq contract anyway. Kind of odd.

I saw a re-airing of an Alex Jones conspiracy convention on C-SPAN this past weekend . It appears that his little movement has been thoroughly taken over by the Deaniac wing of the Democratic party. There was even a Democratic candidate there trying to garner support from these fools .

Absolutely bizarre ....

I remember an argument I got into with a guy who insisted on the 'Pentagon-meets-missle' theory. He was doing fine until it came time to account for the missing plane.

At this point, it became wild, incoherent speculation.

"It crashed at sea."

He didn't elaborate on how a jumbo jet could crash at sea and nobody would take notice. He wasn't even intellectually curious about finding debris to account for it. This turned out to be just a distraction from the 'facts'. LOL.
