I'm not sure that either term, as they are commonly understood, can be applied to Jesus at all. You know? People often refer to the tolorant side of Jesus and completely ignore the intolerant side of Him. While Jesus was a admirably tolorant man He was at the same time a very intolerant one. Kind of depends on the point He was making.

Actually, Jesus was very predictable that way. He was very kind and loving to the lost of this world, the tax collectors, prostitutes, and so on, however, He had zero-tolerance for the religious hypocrites like the pharisees and sadducees.

Think about it. To whom were the seven woes declared? To the religious leaders. But Jesus freqently associated with the sinners shunned by society. To them he brought his message of redemption--and they heard him.

"Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are entering the kingdom of God ahead of you. For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him." Matthew 21:32.

"The Passion", which I thought was somewhat overrated, I haven't been in a movie theater in 13 yrs. Do I miss it? Not in the least. Truthfully it is refreshing not to know who these Hollywood-untalented-narsacisstic freaks are.
